Trying to put a positive spin on Saturday's loss is like putting lipstick on a pig. I reckon pretty much every other side would've beaten Essendon- they were so ordinary for three quarters. The only solace I take is that at least we fought back in the last quarter. Most other years the players would've already had their showers and left the ground by midway through the last quarter.

Probably round 4 2013 when we beat GWS in that 12 goal last qtr.The last time we won a game in the month of July was 2011 vs Port in Darwin. The last time we won a game in the month of August was 2012 vs GWS at the Manuka.

Didn't the draft experts say he was a steal at pick 40? Touted to go in the 20's. Couldn't be more pleased with a 3 gamer at this stage, and Brayshaw was pretty pleasing. Love how he genuinely knows how to kick a sausage for someone so inexperienced.

Spot on. I'd rather have M Jones (4th worst player on the list) and Bail (3rd worst player) in the team than McKenzie (2nd worst) and Terlich (worst).

I think the Darwin game needs to be brought up by the members at the AGM, particularly if we lose next week to the Dons who are a rabble. I don't mind keeping the Alice game given that we always have a 9 day break after it, but the Darwin game is a season killer IMO.

I'd rather sell games to Freo/wce or Adel/Port than play in NT. It's the following week that kills us, not the actual NT game itself.

We have a crap membership because we went off the rails after round 13 last year. Our 0-9 finish to the season kind of went under the radar within the media and was a disgrace on our behalf.
