  1. Viney to kick the winning goal on the run with 55 seconds left to win a high scoring affair - 6.10.46 to 4.17.41
  2. Good on the young lad. Very impressive stats...
  3. Forgot about that. When you see one of our 5"6 little nippers on one of the premier defenders in the league, you'd have to say our coach has probably lost the tactical battle in the coaches box.
  4. It usually takes this current regime a week later than the rank and file to work out an obvious selection. Bringing in a grossly out of form Spargo instead of Lewis for Salem last week was a bush league standard selection. Next week they’ll select JFK and drop Spargo after his inevitable 4 possession game. Selection has been one of the 999 reasons we’re having such a poor year.
  5. Luckily no Matt Crouch.
  6. I wonder if Hibberd and Hore were on board?
  7. Good ins if that's the case. JFK is a small upgrade over Stretch, C Wagner, Lockhart and Spargo. I'd probably keep Stretch only because he had a good game in Darwin last year. Happy for the other 3 to go to Casey. Rumour on Adelaide Bigfooty board that Matt Crouch didn't get selected, which if true, is a win for us.
  8. I remember and was hoping Lynch would miss this game. According to Adelaide's Bigfooty board, Lynch and M Crouch trained really well today and will likely play - because of course it's 2019, and this year sucks!
  9. Exactly. I wonder how Richmond or Collingwood would go if they had to replace their 6-7 injured players with the above lot. They are simply not good players at all.
  10. Prior to the GWS debacle I had us winning this one. But in your most recent match you kick your second goal at the 17 minute mark of the second quarter....then....
  11. What's the bet Adelaide's ins are as follows: Tom Lynch, Matt Crouch, Jenkins, Gibbs, Four match winners.
  12. Careful. You're not allowed to bag Pert around here. They'll all tell you it's a complete coincidence and a freak occurrence that we're 3-7 with almost the worst percentage in the league and 90% of the list going backwards., in the time he's come on board.
  13. Probably an element of truth to that. I'm sure he'd rather be at home with his family as opposed to flying up for 6 hours and playing a meaningless (in the context of our season) game in 28 degree heat
  14. Perhaps some truth into that. It seemed it odd that GWS were happy to let him go considering he had a good season last year. Having a much better year this year.
  15. Based on Smiley’s injury report: In - Salem, JFK, Weideman out- Spargo, C Wagner, T Smith Meanwhile Adelaide probably get back Lynch, M Crouch, Gibbs, and a rejuvenated Jenkins in the one week - aces...
  16. Preuss played against St Kilda in rd 5. I thought we lost that game by 40 points but happy to defer to the experts.
  17. We'll miss his outside run and speed in the Darwin humidity.
  18. I wouldn't be betting on Hibberd returning this week. Smylie (Misson) hinted last week that he might need an additional week of recovery. In - Salem, Lewis, Weideman, ANB Out - C Wagner, Spargo, Petty, T Smith I also wouldn't mind seeing JFK back for one of Lockhart or Stretch, but he'll probably need one more week of Casey. Still confused as to why Lewis didn't come in for Salem. Spargo was a poor choice.
  19. Brayshaw's late run of form in 2018 coincided with Viney being out for the final 7 weeks of the home and away season. Therefore Viney has this year taken midfield minutes off Brayshaw.
  20. Are we still a sniff to re-draft Toumpas?
  21. Was a solid contributor last year and played an excellent final vs Hawks. Had unusual poise for a rookie. But like 90% of our list he has inexplicably gone backwards.
  22. At the moment it’s looking like rain either late into the game or after the game.
  23. We have the second worst percentage (76.2) to GC (76.0). Sure the percentage will likely improve, but on what planet is that acceptable given we had a percentage of 131 last year. And Carlton have actually been hit hard by injuries.
  24. First of many occasions Lewis has been overlooked?
  25. Pretty hard to believe we made the finals that year considering we lost to a horrid St Kilda by 46 point in round 17 at Moorabbin to take us to a struggling 7-10. Does anybody remember that game? I'm guessing those that went would have gone home dejected and wondering if we'd ever make finals again in their life time. We had an easy MCG kill against the Bears the following week and never looked back until the prelim. If we're 5-7 after Collingwood, then I think another 1987 could be on the cards for sure.
