  1. So do I. Will finish top 3 this year if they can start winning interstate.
  2. Given that we're not playing Port anymore, which seemed to be their home ground away from home, hopefully we'll finally break the Alice Springs hoodoo.
  3. And we've now overtaken North who are 34,900. We've also closed the gap on the Saints who are 35,900. I heard a rumour that the Dogs have cracked 50K??
  4. As a rough guide, the two sides pulled in 31K in the season opener of 2014 (Roos' first game in charge) so you'd think they'll get another 5-7K on top of that.
  5. Any chance we can break our Alice Hoodoo this year?
  6. Level 3 may just be walk up.
  7. As you answered earlier, Powell was still with us in 2002. Had a quiet 14 possession game in that Rd 22 game vs Saints. 2 weeks later he got injured early in that amazing Adelaide MCG final and that was the last we saw of him as a Dee. Anyone know why he crossed to the Saints? Money or opportunity? Surely the former. Who knows how far we could've gone in 2004 had Scott Thompson not gotten injured and Powell was still with us.
  8. We haven't beaten St Kilda at Etihad since round 22 2002. Surely this would have to be the biggest hoodoo going around at the moment in the AFL.. The last time we tasted success against the Saints on that Saturday night to put us in the finals at the then known Colonial Stadium: Steven Armstrong and Shane Woewodin were among our best Johnny Cash was still kicking around. Camera phones were only starting to become a feature The Concorde flights were still in commission
  9. I don't think he should play even if he's 110% fit.
  10. I have to keep reminding myself that it won't be the end of the world if we lose by under 4 goals. Saints have a horror round 2 matchup vs West Coast at Domain while we play Carlton at the G, and if we play our absolute best footy we should account for them. We should then end round 2 higher on the ladder than St Kilda. (if we lose our first 2 games we're in deep shizen)
  11. Didn't seem to bother them. Beat Port by 40 points over there.
  12. Was he on the sauce? He's got form in that regard.
  13. We wore our traditional jumper vs Carlton for JLT 2.
  14. I think there was talk we might wear that red jumper against St Kilda. Then we'll wear our white jumper against Essendon, West Coast, Adelaide, Carlton Our clash jumper of last year is better than this year's version.
  15. I don't think we can carry Weid into round 1. Just has no impact.
  16. Plus a 4 week hammy in mid 2015 and an ankle in late 2015. Feels as though injuries are going force him out of AFL.
  17. Can we not just put AHG on our back until we find a new sponsor? We look like amateur hour without a back sponsor. I feel like I'm watching the Dees circa 1993.
  18. Yes forget about Smith. If Garland has a cracking game, then he's in for round 1 I reckon. Whilst Smith's JLT 1 was outstanding, he was sloppy against Carlton and that may have opened up the door for Garland. Smith has more upside than Garland but I'd give experience the nod for such a crucial Rd 1 game.
  19. If Hibberd, Frost and Wagner all miss round 1, I can't see how Garland doesn't play round 1. Wouldn't we need a 3rd medium-tall defender to take Membrey? The 2 Macs will take on McCartin and Bruce but who's going to take the dangerous Membery? i see this as a full dress rehearsal for Garland as we likely don't have anyone left as that third tall defender available to us in round 1.
  20. Disappointing about Hibberd, but at the same time he looked very undercooked vs Carlton. One wonders whether he would've been an asset or liability. Melksham on the other hand looks much more primed for round 1
  21. The standard 21 day recovery would be a 'good one' I would've thought?
  22. Must have been be a pretty bad hammy if he misses Rd 1. He did it feb 18.
  23. As long as he kicks his 8 today and not in round 1...
  24. Now with the injuries starting to piling up, hopefully we can now end the madness of even contemplating Watts not being selected for round 1.
  25. Going to be tough to beat St Kilda without a half forward line.
