No the bloke is uneducated and poor at explaining things.
-
With respect to your Dad. Surely one of the least flamoyant people ever in the game.
-
Yes unreasonably obsessed with bringing it to ground. Let the forwards go for marks and make sure the smalls crumb. Pretty basic stuff.

He is neither, just a really poor draft selection.

Greatest wins (best 50 in the last 50 years)
Half forward flank replied to spirit of norm smith's topic in Melbourne Demons
For me, first final to end the wilderness years. 1987. Never forget when Northey had the boys do a slow lap around the boundary pre game. Gee, he had those boys fine tuned for success and excitement. Anything seemed possible that day. -
Hats off to Chris Dawes. quality bloke and one who should have been kept in some capacity at the Dees.

Swap for ANB.

What happens to the draft in 2020
Half forward flank replied to deelusions from afar's topic in Melbourne Demons
I would be surpised if he got us a pick 35-40. Maybe its just me as I dont rate him highly for ability. I think petty will be targeted by Crows if we do not sign him. -
8th to 18th. Anything higher is based on the our best is as good as anyone gamestyle. As recently as Sunday Goody said he wants Weideman and co leading and bringing the ball to ground, not leading hard and going for a mark, leading and bringing it to ground.

We live in enlightened times so I think it is fair to point some thing that may make Goodys job a little more difficult than the next bloke. Some may take this is a criticism but is not, rather an observation of somene who is a vital part of theClub. It has been noted sometimes Goodwin gives an unusual smirk at inappropriate times when being questioned. Additionall he really struggles in press conferences to contain his movements and again in yesterdays conference he stratched his lift leg repeatedly, seven times. At other times you could see him conciously grab his arm and fold them together to control his repertitive habit. It must be a strain for him to listen, answer questions and control his movements. Hats off to him for having the guts to front up with an obvious compulsive disorder, but it must put a lot of strain on him and his performance as players are very concious of coachs sayings and actions.

Agree on Petty. He looked like he could hold his body in the key forward post and had some presence of those around him. Early days but hold some hope. Get him to watch old footage of highly respected Mark Maclure play the position

I would give Tom another game and then it is over to Weids to have a fair crack at it. If he still has it Tom will work his way back into the side. Just treat him with respect and the rest is up to him and a spot opening up.

Back to Melbourne. See we are two from two. Could not give a toss about other sides stats.

Sometimes I wonder if people on here are fair dinkum. Honestly, needing to explain to someone that our game plan needs improvement is beyond reality.
-
Not following you on the other 17 clubs GT. We are the ones who cannot stop a run on. We got exposed on this as far back as the WC final. No need to be smart about it. How would I have the solution. I dont get paid hundreds of thousands, thats right hundreds of thousands of dollars to come up with a defensive game plan and state of mind.
-
An obvious with the game plan is we are not able to shut a side down when they kick back to back goals, All the other teams are aware of this weakness and exploit it. We keep hearing from Club and players we are as good as anyone at our best. Sometinmes that should mean halving a contest rather than going for broke every time.

Some of us thought that footage was so real that we put kitchen aprons on and jumped off the house roof. Mum was not totally against the idea, just said, well be careful if you do it.

I would rather MFC went down kicking and screaming rather than being complicent in our own decline. -

I do not recall hearing anything from either all year. No passion. Guns for hire. -
Brilliant to be training on the G. Could someone explain the history of why we are not training there all the time and why we cannot make a case for it. I have always got the fact other Clubs play home games there, but not thee MFC no training aspect.

Yes, but enough to put them all in isolation according to Community standards. -

Thanks for the moral outrage and also correction on incubation. That said do not tell my why I am annoyed. Gil, I can do everything, would have been wise to appoint a top Health person to take care of all Covid discussion and media. So far we have heard sketchy and contradictory comments. Beyond that you miss the point entirely. I could not care less about AFL rules at this stage. I care about Community rules and restrictions, which is quite rightly the Health Dept job. As for my inconvenience I have heard no apology from Gil to the MFC, just that he feels sorry for the player and EFC. Maybe factor that it and importantly the inconvenience and more to the MFC.
