Trade Targets
witherden is somehow not best 22 i think a trade would be similar to the will brodie/peter wright type deals where theyre happy to facilitate therefore a late third early fourth type move. butler was pick 54 as a premiership player, you could get witho the same

Trade Targets
couldnt do much more with the entries he didnt receive would say witherden is available for a similar pick, i know which one i'd rather, the one with more than a year left in the system

everyone is so quick to write off deals. how many times every trade period does a deal "collapse" do clubs say they are way off before it happens would absolutely not be ruling out polec yet. these things take time to satisfy all but if clubs WANT it done then it happens (bar very few) ultimately if u look at our current list there is no way about 15 of those players are going to play in a premiership for us. yet we give them so many chances to prove themselves instead of just admitting they wont do and giving an alternative a chance on the list even only for a year

Farewell Oscar McDonald
i agree with you. i think sometimes its not even about upgrading the spot (oh how id love to slip a tarrant across in a polec deal) but trying something different. same deal in our forward line. hunt, hannan, nibbler move them on and give three new blokes the chance to play the same role and see if they can do it better. i like lienert (he's staying on a 1yr deal), hartigan impressed me this year. wouldn't touch the others tho personally. hurley & hooker might become available. Cox, Pearce, Hamling, Logue, doesn't fit into one team at freo... rotham at the eagles is underused (probably too small tho), jackson trengove is still 29 if i was Omac i'd be pitching to the dogs that you're an upgrade on ryan gardner

Isaac Smith
i think we have to be aiming younger we're not gaining anything by recruiting players to leave in 2 years just yet.id rather see a larger chunk from baker than sign a 32yo. polec and tom phillips (who im starting to like more and more as mihoeck news comes through) are better options and will be around for longer. unless theres someone we see available next year we need a stop gap for a season to get there then i'd be willing but surely you get someone now For years we've had wing issues Stretch, JKH, Cwagner, hunt, tomlinson, jones, brayshaw, bennell, off the top of my head, its time we settle it down

Hawks Delist 3
will golds hooked up with a mate of mine two years ago - thats all i know about him, and we beat xavier in his year 12 year so sucked in buddy xx (who's really laughing he's been on a list not me)

Jared Polec
i guess with higgins out a larger priority for them because they owe the player more for what he's given them and teh false hope they gave him last year. they'd rather he left (salary cant be an issue for north) and they need some bodies about to lead by example and take pressure off all the kids. but ultimately you'd think theyd rather the 32yo who will be dusted in a year or two over the expensive 27yo

TRADES, DELIST, PROMOTE
we need a polls option @Demonlandxx i'd say pick one of hunt and hannan to get a new gig assuming ANB leaves, if he stays id prefer spargo and bedford got contracts. But Melky, Nibbler, Hunt, Hannan and Spargo are 5 players who are thereabouts and when we lost this 6&7th forward spot gets rotated. Melky has a contract, supposedly offers leadership and is proven at AFL level despite down year so he stays. Spargo is young enough that if he starts in the team next year i see at his defining year the other 3 i'm not sold on and i'd prefer a year out of a potential target like narkle, langdon/daniel(gws - OOC), aarts/rioli (OOC), lonie, ronke to see if they click because its fair to say the others have had chances and ultimately its been one acceptable game in 4 and theyve been given extended stints to show their worth

i definitely give Viney his big pay day 4-5 for the sake of the exercise i left him to as in multiple years. i'd happily give Bedford, Hore, Spargo, Jordon, Lockhart two years if there was a rival asking. i think they all have big parts to play in our near future. less sure on lockhart than i was two months ago and they have to be trusted by the coaches with consecutive games (how did bedford fall so out of favour so quickly) i wanted vdB to go to Sydney its a position we've always been loaded in and at the end of 2018 when he signed, we drafted two mids (sparrow+jordon) plus Jones was still good to go and Trac hadnt moved in yet. + Lewis and Vince were still on the list so he has really not been required his entire time, we've been stocked. Melky had a bad year yes, but i think we've got him going on a year two many at this stage, we arent going to win a flag with him in the team and we didnt have anyone good enough to take his spot by mid season when he shoulda lost it. and i cant see his form turning around as he gets even older (ik hes only 29 now) and i was wrapped with the KK pick up at the time, perfect gamble, when he was on he was really damaging and young enough to make an impact but i dont think he's going to recover and its best for both parties to end that relationship. happy with the risk for sure tho i could see nibbler was hit and miss and not like your rohan types when he got that deal he was just another stretch and i guess if we can flip him this year thats a win but he hasnt done anything to justify. thats why i can see the club making the same mistake on a hannan, hunt type who cant get a regular i wasnt on DL at the time of TMacs deal but he has to play defence, we need a CHB and thats where he made his name, the adamancy of the coaches to not make these changes is detrimental to our side. because tomlinson is makeshift (and possibly better as a third tall forward -played that role at gws pre himmelberg), smith is also unreliable, petty has been injured but i really like him and Omac is out the door (yay) hore and lever too undersized unless u play them both and May becomes lockdown and doesn't intercept i guess

TRADES, DELIST, PROMOTE
1. absolutely no clue 2. if he retires he's on the inactives list so he still gets paid but doesnt play/take a list spot 3. well let him play the first 8 and if he's injured theres nothing we coulda done more to get him there

TRADES, DELIST, PROMOTE
guys ive had a brainwave - if jones gets to 300 games before the mid season rookie draft (is this even happening who knows) he can retire, he gets an MCG farewell game and we applaud him and live him. but we also get to turnover the spot on a list and get an extra half a season of development into someone we like who sneaks through due to the circumstances of this years draft. only problem i see with it is he wont want to quit mid project he'l be determined to get us to finals. but we all know if he goes around again next year (likely) its for that milestone and that alone. am i right or am i right

Viney Signs Until 2025
you have no idea lmao so many non classy players win flags, like you gotta have those types every side does but having 22 lachie whitfields (classiest player i can think of) isnt going to win a side but your LRT's your prestigiacamos your liam pickens who just care about their clubs their teammates that sh it invaluable and when it comes to it. i'd rather have players who care as much as viney does over anything else. viney is that type because u know when your deep in the 4th, games on the line or even if your blown out of the water they're gonna have a [censored] dip because they ride every bump of that game just like us fans do and the result stings them. Yes jones and jetta are winding up, not best 22 but their contribution to our club cannot ever be questioned and their love and passion. you dont get that feeling yet from your next wave like you do from viney

TRADES, DELIST, PROMOTE
so Preuss to GWS we think ANBs only suitors you'd imagine are Adelaide (not sure what profile he fits for them except for SA born) Hunt could get strong career security at the dons on a back flank and he'd go with my blessing Omac would suit Dogs, Cats Hawks and he'd also go with my blessing and i'd feel so much better about our list after those moves. we can be active aggressive with our own targets and draft picks secondary thoughts Dons surely in market for Witherden now and Shaw too possibly (i dont want shaw here but he doesnt really have any other options, roos said no)

Viney Signs Until 2025
if he isnt the heart and soul of our club then idk who is viney jones jetta gawn theyre the only players in that conversation - nothing to do with talent but they are melbourne. commitment from him shows leadership it shows belief and bloody well hope we can achieve something big in his time.

thats not why they've fallen off the perch, the pre-existing talent they had and all the veterans they recruited were in the same age bracket therefore they all came to the end of their careers at the same time. and due to their successes everyone behind them on the list was unproven, unseen at senior level and now theyve lost all the veterans as a natural outcome they're left with no strong foundations to rebuild from

Bayley Fritsch signs on for 2 more years
spot on, his body work 1on1 is class times and executes it perfectly to unbalance oppo + he can leap too we really liked him i remember, brissie jumped in ahead of us in the rookie draft we ended up with bull smith and kielty, but the big o was absolutely on the radar. i guess we saw more in flip too ?ββοΈ at least we know now just to poach ruckman or wait till theyve developed
