TMac on the Trade Table?
he mentioned he dropped 3-4 kilos already, he wouldn't say that if he was staying, absolutely advertising him to rivals right there and then.

AFL Trade Radio
"Oscar (McDonald) has been squeezed out. At his age I am hoping he could be a delisted free agent if a trade can't get done" - Alex McDonald "Tom (McDonald) did start his career in defence. His breakout year was a bit of wing, ruck and forward. If Ben (Brown) came in, it would mean that Tom would have to move back to another position or perhaps find another club" - Alex McDonald "Tom has two years to go on his contract. Probably the way Melbourne have structured up with Weideman and Jackson meant his opportunities were limited. He wants opportunity moving forward" - Alex McDonald "It's fair to say Tom's (Phillips) role has dried up in his traditional wing spot. He has a year to go on the contract. The club has been great and said there could be game. If he wants to play wing we might need to see if there's better options elsewhere" - Alex McDonald player manager alex mcdonald just spoke to damo and sos

Hore & Spargo Ink New Deals
i'm a really big hore fan and if hibbo can't do his defensive duties properly then Hore should get a run at it, when he plays he performs, unlucky not to get two years considering KK and jets are out the door next year. and tbh he offers more than lockhart does. ticks all round,

Rumour only file ...
could be replacing mitchy robinson on the wing at brisbane

2020 Contracts and List Details
spargo will be 23? based on being 21 at EOC this year in previous spreadies? hunt would fit an essendon? keen on bedford, jordon, lockhart, mbrown, bradtke to get a year each and nietschke to get one as a rookie. which would see off hunt, omac, chandler + hannan, preuss, tmac

could watch that vision next to preuss on wilson side by side for hours

Trade Targets
petch just signed a 3yr deal last month, they like him and given willie and venables are in strife longterm. he's definitely required. i'd be willing to take a speculative on a 1yr deal this time around allowing spargo and bedford a proper run at it and next year we make space for tippa. defensively i see TLangdon a pretty good chance to come across given the logjam at the pies and he was always keen to play with brother Ed, they're as tight as it comes. good timing with jetta, kk falling off the list and maybe hibbo and hore not up to it there could be a spot for him down there

AFL Trade Radio
but u cant say "all our targets have been hits" if ur only gonna look at the hits thats just stupid! doesn't make sense
-
AFL Trade Radio
ben kennedy, pat mckenna, harley balic, corey wagner, viv mitchie, bugg... we've had some stinkers
-
AFL Trade Radio
everyone does seem to forget the players we're after that we don't get or the ones we're linked to that never really take off, it makes any clubs trade hall seem better than it is. i dont have any exact examples but as a blanket rule

Jack Higgins
castagna (i rkn hes sh1 t but they think otherwise), rioli, aarts, stack, bolton say hi if spargo isn't a small idk who is - although agree jury is out, jones, sparrow and baker are most definitely midfielders. however i agree i'd rate higgins above all bar fritsch in that group

Nathan Jones Locked in for 2021
everyone says he has to go out on his own terms, but surely it was the right move this year he would have known that, hes 6th banana, he's slowed right down and he's being cheeky sucking extra years out of us because he knows we know we cant force him out. its obviously a difficult one for club but im concerned especially if it costs us the development of a youngster

2020 Player Reviews: #38 Mitch Brown
im convinced petty is a defender
-
2020 Contracts and List Details
guess we will know by then how sparrow, petty, jordon came on, lockhart might be on the brink given his age at that time he'll wanna be well and truly embedded, i agree hibbo will get to '22, i have hopes for spargo, bedford & hore too but we'll see.

2020 Player Reviews: #38 Mitch Brown
given what he's gonna cost as a rookie i believe he'll be there next year as depth for sure
-
Player number sequence
would be pretty cool on the back of the colar even if not visible to the cameras at least for the player to kinda keep in touch with their cap, cam mooneys forearm tattoo i think has some reference to his number and career at the cats and in cricket it is a really prominent part of being in the team. virat kohli and many others have tattoos referencing it. https://afltables.com/afl/stats/alltime/melbourne.html this has the function to sort by cap #

2020 Contracts and List Details
2021 looks like a pretty straight forward list of exits... jones, jetta, kk, vanders, nibbler, jsmith, and one or two of the stragglers from this season who are yet to re-sign
-
Jack Higgins
whether we do or not tippa better be a target next year, we gotta get him off that sinking ship
-
AFL Trade Radio
spoilt for depth maybe... but so are we, i mean dean kent played more games than not this year for them so they can definitely fit him in the 22
-
Jack Higgins
want him and richmond are sensible wouldn't cost more than a 3rd rounder, maybe a pick we get in for any of our departees depending when they all fall... somewhere between 45-70 or even 4th round-third round swapsies
-
Trade Targets
higgins or maybe i'd consider narkle more suited to this role? also i'm concerned that there are some really good smalls available or at least unsigned and @Dr evilhas flagged hind as the one we're most into and having conversations with. any or all of aarts, ronke, lachie schultz, brad close i'd rank ahead of hind...

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
i wouldn't go as far as next years first round but if we can sell the idea that theres less academy players next year they should take that second rounder we should because, clubs will pay large overs for a pick at the start of the second round on the beginning of day two of the draft. last year the cats turned 26 and 67!!! into 11 this year with gold coast. clubs will be that keen to get the guy that slipped through, iirc brissie gave up a fair bit to move up too. it makes 23 pretty valuable for a draft day trade imo compared to later second rounders

Nathan Jones Locked in for 2021
definitely a sentimental decision but having said that, if it comes to it id rather jones in the side than vandenberg... hopefully given the experience he brings we can move on from ISmith and thing about phillips for the next 8 years ?

2020 Player Reviews: #42 Josh Wagner
about time, long running joke in our household is doing a wagner, just another wagner which is basically when something is useless
