  1. Witherden Polec Wright Cumming for mine
  2. goody mentioned in his presser we might get harmes/brayshaw/sparrow/jackson back but this season is wasted and it would absolutely murder them to rush them back early except maybe harmes his doesnt seem to bad and hes a mature body so... here is how i'd line up for the last two games: B: Lockhart May Lever HB: Rivers Tomlinson Hibberd ? Langdon Viney Baker HF: Fritsch Weideman Spargo F: Bedford Brown Pickett R: Gawn Oliver Petracca IC: Salem Chandler Dunkley Harmes E: Preuss Hore Melksham vdB With two games to go in a season list decisions would have already been made up mostly ie Freo so stop playing Hunt, Hannan, Wagner, Smith, ANB and the likes for one two games here and there and actually see what some of these younger boys can do. Leave Jackson, Sparrow, Jordon, Bennell, Petty, Brayshaw in cotton wool. Forget about Jones, Jetta, the Wags & Macs who arent going to be around next year. These stupid 1yr deals we gave half our list last year get extended into 2nd, 3rd years until we have 24yos+ with like >50 games experience just wasting list spots and contributing nothing when they play. How do the coaches not see it. Hibbo got torched 3 times, 3!! by Walters, so we over did the height against freo. Lockhart in for Smith is obvious because Hibbo gives us dash and penetration. If chandler is going to play lockdown defence or pressure forward go and find out let Salem run the narrow wing where hes got a strong body to go inside and engine to go outside too. vdB should be a break glass in case of bulk injuries a la this week but dunkley is the future onballer that deserves a crack when this scenario happens to see what he offers otherwise he's gone. Spargo, Bedford and Pickett play them all together and see how they pressure and swarm rather than half assing it with one or two of them and your washed up types ANB, Hunt and your >10 disposal markers Melky and Hannan. Fritsch when allowed to roam and kick inside 50 looked dangerous (how good was hitting pickett out the back). let him play that role alone without these two taking up his space and wasting his possessions. Thoughts people?
  3. can anyone find a link to the article last october when we resigned 8 players... cant remember who the 8 were all on 1 or 2 yr deals, would love to see it for reference *found it* https://www.sportingnews.com/au/afl/news/melbourne-lock-away-eight-young-players-for-2020-season/4uk11ik6qbgt1ir5l4go0a934
  4. but all the wins havent been full squad performances and i think thats the key message from all the posters regardless of how they express it. we arent getting enough from our bottom 10 each week and thats whats the difference between top sides and where we are
  5. can goodwin just explode in a presser just once please. or just change tone ffs so infuriating he sounds so bored and careless
  6. exactly. was cyril a star in his first game? how about mickey walters? bedford and pickett need games games games for the next year together and at the feet of weid to. blokes wanting his head are the same blokes that want hannan and cwags in for hunt and nibbler and the exact same move reversed next week when the giants do a job on us.
  7. weekly but he wasnt the worst player out there last week and probably deserves his spot for this week only. + no other alternatives (i imagine spargo is more of a management than a dropped) i like his pressure. i want to see him get some continuity in the side
  8. id throw talia/laird in and also tarrant if north really want to bottom out. no interest in a pete wright? isaac cumming? schache? dyl roberton? finlayson?
  9. Brown stiff and Lockhart deserves to wait a week coz smith was really good on papley. I believe we'll go 4 talls down back, no use having lever as a third man up if he is forced to lockdown one of hogan, lobb and crab so i'd imagine tomlinson-may-smith all down back allowing baker and hunt to share a wing. Seriously conserned by our lack on mid rotations, does salem go through? melky? obviously vanders will but we seem to be short at least one pinch hitter could it be nibbler at times? also would love to know the stat on win% after 5+ changes, i might go and change my tip ?
  10. hore available according to burgo with the outs in midfield he comes straight back in for smith and tomlinson stays up the ground? No brayshaw & jones. harmes extremely unlikely. hibbo good to go
  11. OMac, Smith, Brayshaw, Harmes, Wagner, Jones Hibberd, Lockhart, Bennell, Pickett, Bedford, Baker
  12. DELIST: Hannan, Hunt, OMcDonald, Smith, CWagner, JWagner RETIRE: Jones, Jetta, Kolodjashnij UPGRADE: Lockhart TRADE BAIT: TMcDonald (Ess/Haw/Gee/Coll/Dogs), ANB (good luck finding anyone), VDB (sydney as per 2yrs ago?) DELIST TO RE-ROOKIE: Neitschke
  13. OUT: OMcDonald, Smith, Jones, Wagner, Melksham IN: Lockhart, Hibberd, Bennell, Bedford, Pickett
  14. yes ANB is not a long term solution and fritta has been poor but we have to work week to week here and ANB did some good things and there isnt an obvious in to replace him
  15. i dont think baker is going to cut it at afl level. hes a hunt 2.0 quick boi with not much footballing ability. happy to be proven wrong tho...
  16. have you ever played football. ive never played in a team that doesnt break into their 3 lines at a break and discuss in their groups what they need to do better and what worked before coming together for the full team address
  17. OMac, Wags and Jones have sealed their fate. Last game in red and blue for the 3 of them. Smith i thought played his role really well on papley but still not enough to hold his spot. Melksham has run out of chances for the time being and we're far too slow to react in the forward 50 ZERO movement. Lockhart May Lever Salem Tomlinson Hibberd Langdon Viney Bennell Fritsch Weideman Harmes Pickett Brown Spargo Gawn Oliver Petracca Brayshaw Neal-Bullen Rivers Bedford OUT: Smith, McDonald, Jones, JWagner, Melksham IN: Lockhart, Hibberd, Bennell, Pickett, Bedford
  18. Great year to have a long term injury, Hore Petty Neitschke watching on as everyone else plays themselves out of a new contract around them
  19. absolutely smashed it here however stiff on spargo imo hes still young enough to have an impact and his pressure has been up this year from what ive seen
  20. Gawny and OMac are like best pals, he's always taking the [censored] out of him on his poddy, seems to be very aware of his below average footballing ability. Also everyone saying he has good 1on1 defending and disposal surely must be aware how slow he is mind and body. makes decisions like a sloth and got lucky v saints that his man didnt clunk a few more and kick straight. and u cant be serious, papley would love this matchup jones would never catch him
  21. i believe it should be B: Tomlinson OMac Rivers HB: Salem May Lever C Langdon. Petracca Harmes HF: Fritsch. Weideman Melksham FF: Spargo Brown. ANB R: Gawn Oliver Viney INT: Jones Brayshaw Smith (FWD) JWagner But i can see any combination of Harmes Tomlinson and Smith in any half of the ground except Smith in a wing
  22. i think we've proved if anything this season that fritsch melksham and hannan dont fit into the same team and instead we need a third genuine small pressure player beside kozzie and spargs. hannan id say is 30:70 for a contract next season and melkshams form has been down. so gunston could fit in the side next to fritsch probably instead of melky as i see it
