  1. elliot wouldn't be on too much coin considering he couldn't get on the park for 2/3 years there. and it was during that time and before de goey existed phillips signed on
  2. Gowers - 3 Cavarra - 3 Hayes - 2 RSmith - 6 Duryea - 3 Suckling - 7 Dale - 9 their version of Hunt - 6 Hannan - 9 spargo - 8 neal-bullen - 7 bedford - 2 bennell - 5 vandenberg - 12 when realistically none are afl level (2020 games played)
  3. they still have 9 OOC so expect them to open up some spots especially with so many similar types there swans and dons but they're expected later after their current 2 1st picks Errol Gulden - swans is in the first round range and also Davies doesn't need a bid he can be pre-listed as a rookie by the suns under their concessions from last season. so they'll prelist him and Jeffries and then use pick 5 and thats their list full
  4. freo ran Hogan, McCarthy, Taberner, Lobb with darcy in the ruck on a couple occassions or even Cox in the forward line when McCarthy or one of the rucks was out of the side. most recent example of going extremely tall i can think of EDIT: Giants had Cameron, Riccardi, Finlayson, Himmelberg and Jack Buckley? late this season?
  5. hannan is exactly the same as about 12 other players on that doggies list in terms of output and looks lmao. fits right in with their band of mid sized so-so players. happy with this
  6. plz sir could i have some more ?
  7. brown has literally had one injury in his professional afl career and people are really calling him damaged goods. he will be the greatest steal in our clubs history if we can get him for another after pick 25. will kick 40+ comfortably next year
  8. next
  9. yes he's better than mbrown and smith but u gotta compare it positionally. id rather flip on a wing than any of hunt, nibbler, vanders, jones, tommo, harmes, baker
  10. i rkn he still gets to the dons. they literally have no tall players on their list... last year mbrown out no replacement, this year daniher, phillips, mckernan, bellcho gone and only wright in. lots of faith in draper at 22yo off an acl and unproven crauford and bryan who are unnatural in the forward half.
  11. someone in another thread i forget who, but someone relatively on the money has said witho has categorically ruled out victoria. he is the heir apparent to shannon hurn over in the west, we're gonna regret not having the conversation. i hope we are in for narkle definitely over nick bloody hind who realistically is lucky to be on a list, i hope his essendon connection is strong enough to pick them. cedric cox requested a trade west and hasnt received any interest i would try and nab him for some speed out of the back half even if we only get 2yrs from him before he requests home again we are really light on here for depth and it could push salo up the ground.
  12. i need my fix?
  13. any draft picks we bring in will be used in a package to shift up the order as much as possible, i fully expect us to have a first round pick this season
  14. absolutely not, the ferret is not the answer
  15. will be Hore, then ur spot on it was probably an old article about Sparrow and Petty there were rumours circulating before they both signed up last month
  16. dogs pick is going to be seriously hot property due to the adelaide bid factor etc but maybe we can get ahead of the game and move for the pies future 1 pending daicos (who is a gun btw kicks well both feet, can crumb as a forward and run and distribute off HB, this was when i played with him 2yrs back in the 1sts at school and he was a year 10 at year 9 age consistently holding his own) and then look to move our future first back into this year somewhere else? or just hold 2 firsts next year in a stronger draft?
  17. is that how quickly his heart beats per second too?
  18. i think for some part its not what narkle has proven he can do and has done to date but its teh potential to mix it up and add something different to the mix than what we've been trying in the forward half for the last two years
  19. this, this should concern absolutely everybody connected to the MFC, we should all be fired up and angry if we go into next year and a player as bang average as ANB is considered unlucky to play 1s in round 1.
  20. i really wish rendell went harder because he was right when he called us swiss cheese we have a gap as a small defender (jury still out on all of nev, lockhart, hore) rebounding defender (hibbo in final years, agree salo underwhelms and who's next in?) wing (BAKER IS NOT THE ANSWER TOM PHILLIPS MIGHT BE) half forward (i refuse to watch another twelve months of hunt, ANB, melky & vanders try to underperform each other, get narkle) small forward (bedford and spargo need opportunity but arent best 22 locks stronger competition doesn't hurt) i really struggle to see how we're being ruthless this year when the only players who are leaving are preuss (contracted requested trade) and hannan (offered 2yrs anyway) bog standard, bang average, middle of the road trade period in the wors and its gonna result in proven players wanting out next year to ur essendons, freo, carlton who are rising and are actively searching for potential upgrades and improvements and not settling for what we've got
  21. if a player voluntarily wants to go to hawthorn rn instead of us then we are in a far more ugly place than i thought.
  22. so he's on the list but becomes 'inactive' like the old long-term injury list which used to mean you could upgrade Cat. A rookies to play senior games but they scratched that idea and made rookies available to be picked form round 1, however category b rookies still require a list spot to be upgraded to play seniors. however if a player is inactive usually due to early retirement, long-term concussion, acl or mental health then u can pick a replacement player who gets a contract for the remainder of the season to plug the whole. im not too sure what the rules are when it comes to that inactive player becoming available again but quite possibly the newest installment of rules is theyre out for the season...
  23. why? i mean i'd take 43 over 53 purely on the basis our last TWO 53s have been TOM AND OSCAR F@#%ING MCDONALD
  24. yes, one of what u said is correct lmao i rang up trade radio earlier to ask the question of josh jenkins, not going to play at geelong and they need list spots, contracted for one more year. obviously a much more natural forward but could lead a pedo style twin ruck with Weid/LJ backing him up or even smith
