  1. Although the AFL using NRL referees would go a long way towards explaining the quality of umpiring decisions...
  2. Absolutely pumped for Tyla Hanks for her first nod in what has been a sensational season. Well deserved.
  3. I'm a bit confused - we've played Freo and Saints, Freo and Saints have played GWS in the two rounds. The sum of Freo, Dees, GWS and Saints should then be zero as we collectively haven't played anyone else. But it's +1 Additional proof the AFL is doing everything it can for GWS (not just financially).
  4. I wonder if we could pay him in bitcoin?
  5. Casey beat the North Melb 2’s by less than 2 goals. Based on their 1’s, I’m guessing the quality of the 2’s were equivalent to ammos. Kicking 2 goals in this game isn’t good enough to displace anyone who played on Saturday night.
  6. Great website DeeSpencer, thanks for this. Interesting to compare Fritta and Trac over the three years. Very similar output.
  7. This was definitely not the St Kilda fl*g who was sitting behind me at the game. Blaming the umpires (and us) for everything going wrong. Although to be fair I probably sounded like this in 2013.
  8. True Ernie, but it's still funny!
  9. Given the bias towards Sydney, I wonder if Buddy will get a look in. He hasn't played 10 games in a long time....
  10. He kicked 1-3 and Kossie kicked 2-2. let’s trade them both
  11. Whilst it was a great team win and the usual suspects have been rightly praised on here for their collective contributions to the win, there isn’t IMO enough recognition for Charlie Spargo. His current form and quality of his disposals is really important for our team. Loving what you’re bringing Charlie, keep it up.
  12. My key area of frustration is that we have a premium midfield/elite ruckman but more often than not we can't play the game on our terms out of the middle. We've built our brand on contested footy = lots of stoppages. Winning clearances must be central to this. Why is it a problem year after year?
  13. Love what he's brought to the club. Hope his 150th is memorable for all the right reasons. Do him proud dees.
  14. Hopefully we’ve got Langdon playing on the same wing as Brad Hill. That will be good to watch
  15. But Clarry will not be dropped under any circumstances
  16. Just a question in my mind from last nights game. Geelong had used all their rotations with 4-5 minutes to go. Can you make a medical sub if you have no rotations left? Might be another loophole to exploit for an additional rotation if so....
  17. Time to resurrect a Jack Viney made me cry meme?
  18. Congrats to Steven May on 150 games. Hope you play a blinder like a repeat of the game in Alice last year and drag us over the line. FYI - I’m the loud bastard on level 3 outer wing conveying the same message
  19. https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/round-2-2021-st-kilda-v-melbourne-marvel-stadium-saturday-27th-march-7-25pm-aedt-spuds-game-sinclair-100th.1259334/ 34 pages of confidence. Knock yourself out.
  20. Great interview. What a character. The reverence shown to Robbie brought a tear to the eye.
  21. This arrangement should really help with our learnings. I'll see myself out.
  22. I liked this article based on a chat with Steven May on SEN yesterday. Nice to have a coach demanding excellence and driving standards.... https://www.sen.com.au/news/2021/03/23/how-choco-williams-is-demanding-perfection-at-melbourne/
  23. I’ll have what he’s having
  24. I'm intrigued with how the AFL will navigate the issuing of sanctions on actual vs potential damage going forward. The commentary on this site with respect to previous sanctions based on potential have in part contributed to the AFL determining sanction based on outcome, as evidenced by both the Dangerfield and Kiara Bowers findings. But in doing this, the AFL are not providing guidance on how they'd like to see duty of care in stopping your opponent applied. They are leaving this to the clubs, and providing guidance after the damage has been inflicted. This approach must leave the AFL wide open for future lawsuits. I'm not sure that providing a future fund for players dealing with concussion is going to cut it. But by providing sanctions based on the potential to cause damage, the AFL are potentially killing their sport with players and fans disillusioned with tribunal findings based on opinion and no evidence. It's a real dilemma.
  25. Given Kade Chandler played a game in 2019, we can't congratulate him on his AFL debut as a medical sub without actually hitting the field; but I'd guess that dubious distinction will come up shortly.
