I reckon Viney’s foot might be the bigger issue of the two. No intel, just surmising based on past experience

I subscribed to Kayo last year ADC and chrome casted from the app to the TV. Worked fine.

Review Finds Collingwood Guilty of Systemic Racism
In Harmes Way replied to rjay's topic in Melbourne Demons
“I’m proud of our club for having the courage, and our board for accepting the recommendations. It is a landmark day.” “I don't think there’s any shame or disappointment here ... this is a day of pride.” He's so proud that this is only being discussed publicly after the report was leaked a month after receipt by the board. Not exactly getting in front of the problem IMHO -
glass half full....lol

And this was SEN's take on the interview.... https://www.sen.com.au/news/2021/01/31/thats-relatively-embarrassing-melbournes-focus-during-the-pre-season/ I'd hope over and above sorting out the midfield-forward line connection issues raised that they're also looking at the ruck-rover connection, which I feel has significant room for growth as well.

I hope our board gets a copy of this report somehow and measures our own overall performance against the identified failings.- 371 replies

I thought the girls looked a bit lethargic early on with the travel, but that 2nd and 3rd quarter was sensational and could be the difference between us making the finals or not. This was exactly the type of game we should have won in seasons 1-2 but we would drop & then missed finals narrowly. Great to hear the song again, and I teared up a bit with the three debutants in the middle of the circle. Love that they sing the song on the ground.

As long as he’s right for finals...

Thanks for braving the elements and for the writeup deespicable! Very much appreciated on what I'm sure was a day where it would be hard to see silky skills on display and your eyeballs would have needed windscreen wipers. On your point above, I reckon the coaches would have a couple of probable A Team candidates on the B Team to keep them hungry....

Agree with all of the above. 12 days minimum may see players miss two games esp. around Anzac day/eve games. It's such a hard injury to quantify that I'm not sure you can police it any other way. I agree with having a break the week after prelim on this basis, it would be soul destroying to have one or more of our best players miss a grand final because of this imposed break.

Great training report from Stinga and most importantly reminded me of my first man crush. Gees Tingay was good. time to find a highlights reel.

There are a lot of good suggestions above as to who should be in the leadership group based on their performances last year. This, despite the fact there was only a Captain, Vice Captain in formal roles. On this basis, I don't see the need to "recognise" a larger leadership group as clearly the names listed above see themselves as leaders anyway (and I'm sure the feedback they receive inside the club affirms their actions).

He's a 19 yo kid who has had one very different season as an introduction to an AFL career. He's still learning habits that will shape his professionalism to elite. Personally I'm much more worried about Aaron Nietschke's knees than Kossie, who has a massive ceiling and I'm sure will be an absolute gun in a year or two if he learns and adopts good habits.

I understand this thread is a future source of reference for the hindsight police, but I’m not writing off players before the season has even begun. Especially the younger ones that should be encouraged.

TRAINING: Friday 15th January 2021
In Harmes Way replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
I’d agree with you TPF as the quality of his intercept marking in defence was exceptional before he moved to the fwd line - however I still have nightmares about his subsequent field kicking from defence so I’m on the fence. -

Looking at that picture, if Farmer is a tiny 169cm, then so is Kossie. -
According to Fox sports, Melbourne seem the most likely team of the 2020 bottom-10 to return to the top four this year Although they did peg Carlton at #2, so we're not drinking our own bath water just yet. https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-predictions-2021-finals-tips-bottom-10-to-top-four-melbourne-carlton-sydney-swans-to-jump/news-story/420d9413abfad3579a1b0d515e7a380e

Seasons Greetings to all on Demonland

All I want for Xmas is a flag. Not too much to ask. Merry Xmas everybody -
I thought this as well BBP, and I hope we can actually have a decent crowd to help the club coffers. Otherwise I'd hope the club is talking to the AFL + Rich/Coll to see if this draw can be offset to have one home game out of the two blockbusters per year.
