  1. My beef with all of this is that the AFL are now changing the rules mid season so one club gets a different and better outcome for exactly the same act than another team. Another layer of farce.
  2. Don't let the AFL umpires get anywhere near the server. We'll be screwed.
  3. The woo hoo guy is there tonight! nice goal melksham
  4. We need a forward line to win by that much Sku. Trac to kick 5 and we'll win by 5.
  5. All this talk of selfish and not playing for each other My view is that some/most players don't trust their teammates to execute - and so don't give them the ball, try to take on the tackler or do it all themselves until they get into trouble and cough it up or give the ball to a teammate in an even worse predicament who then turns it over. Sure, they all might be mates, however we're never going to win a flag without the team having inherent trust in the abilities of all 22 on the field. Even Barassi has said the Dees of the 50's/60's weren't a team of superstars.
  6. Have to agree with this. I've liked both his analysis and the difficult questions. Only feedback would be not to have player Q&A videos in the lobby of the team hotel with players wandering around in the background in a towel mucking around etc.
  7. I can’t see Weid and Jackson beating Talia and Doedee. I hope they effectively bring the ball to ground and ANB lays at least 20 tackles. i can see why they dropped OMac after last week, but I thought he’d be a good matchup on Lynch. i can’t see us kicking a bag, but we should win unconvincingly.
  8. It’s all good for this sort of talk when all our list are healthy Give one of our mids away that haven’t even hit their peak yet and listen to the noise when we have an injury or two....got no depth blah blah blah, stupid trade Just look at the Jesse Hogan thread for evidence - and he wanted to leave, so we had to do the best deal possible on that basis
  9. I’d like to see the inside mids practice winning centre clearances. Given Gawn wins 3 out of 4 taps, you’d think we should be able to improve in this area while they’re all spending each and every day together.
  10. Maybe the OP reckons we’re better off with Barry Prendergast? Taylor has done a great job. Jog on.
  11. Maybe they should change Jackson's nickname to Samson As soon as his hair was cut off, we turned to [censored]. Much like his haircut (not a fan....)
  12. Delighted Sparrow is being given a run. Give em heaps Tom. Also really keen to see how the combination of Weid, Jackson and TMac work together. I'm glad we've got Goody back making daring selection decisions (that involve more than 1 tall KPF).
  13. Maybe the club is trying to make the Gabba feel more like home with having nobody come to watch.
  14. This one would be burned on your brain @Redleg?
  15. Thought the boys played an excellent last quarter and nearly snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. Three goals down at 3 qtr time, we looked top 4?in the last quarter and will give the guys a lot of belief going forward. Agree with others re a bit of polish overall and umpiring which is destroying the game overall.
  16. Somebody will need to teach me the rules of this game because I don’t understand half the free kicks that are, and aren’t, paid. some consistency in what is a 15m kick would be nice too.
  17. Agreed Dee They should have been called the Essenmond Demons
  18. We might have to put our hand up to relocate.
  19. I'm amazed at the amount of travel we've got over the next 4 weeks; given we've also got partners and kids in the QLD "hub". Presuming other clubs in the same boat. I wonder if we are moving our whole team + entourage en masse between locations, or commuting back to QLD between games. For reasons of minimising COVID community transmission, I'd have thought the AFL would be trying to minimise the travel burden (or maybe they have overall, and it's us that copped the short end of the stick?)
  20. Very funny entertaining man, even has some of Kossi's footwork.
  21. I agree Adam, however OMac didn't take an eye catching hanger in the third. OMac's only blight for mine was the punch in the goal square in the last qtr which he should have put through for a behind but punched it to the top of the goal square and Morris kicked a snag. Apart from that, Oscar played a ripper (again).
  22. Was it there (Harley's)? I didn't see anything that raised my eyebrows at all.....
  23. Burgo just said on the Injury report that the quarantine guys are in the Gold Coast, training with Matt Egan. Joining the main team next week.
  24. If you're bringing in TMac for Jackson, what part of Jackson's game on Sunday do you point to in order to give him an understanding on why he's being dropped?
  25. Agreed OD, but his pass to Weideman in the third quarter was a ripper; wasn't it?
