Development of Draft Picks vs the Dogs
Sparrow is going to be a very good player for us. Lay off him.

TEAMS: Rd 01 vs Fremantle
The big difference Daz is theyâve dropped Viney. He was just about walking by the end of the R1 2019 game off no preseason.

TEAMS: Rd 01 vs Fremantle
Love to see Kossy play out of the middle and then follow up his i50 entry with his pace to pick up a crumbing goal or two

Demonland Podcast Featuring Gary Pert
Why do some members get New Balance 40% off offers and others donât get the email. Why do some members get a thanks for hanging with us last year badge with their 2021 membership and others donât. I understand this club is probably understaffed but the two above examples just show ineptitude, inconsistency and a lack of regard for the members.

Stat Nerds Unite
Bloody shame. If we had something as magic as Demonwiki for the whole of the history of the VFL, I reckon Iâd just about retire now and spend my days reading old reports

Buy the paper?

Stat Nerds Unite
I'd like to know statistically how many journeys and learnings we've had since our last finals campaign. And have we learnt enough to arrive this year.

HELP FOR A TECHO DILL.
Not sure, but I'd expect the turnstiles work in the barcode not the numbers. Maybe the ticketing office at the ground might be open so if it doesn't work you could present your paper copy at the ticketing office in exchange for a ticket you can swipe. Or, you could take your paper copies to a ticketek office before Saturday.

40% discount from New Balance
They're pretty good at emailing the membership renewal notices. I've not received this offer either. Not sure why it's so hard.

PREGAME: Rd 01 vs Fremantle
Girls are playing in Freo, I believe. I agree definitely a shame, as I'd expect a similar result to last Saturday with the AFLW playing here vs. away.

Medical Sub
Yep, if he plays

PREGAME: Rd 01 vs Fremantle
Which is why Iâm a fan of him punching it to CHF every now and then to mix it up.

AFLW: Rd 07 vs Adelaide
I love that the girls sing the song out on the ground.

AFLW: Rd 07 vs Adelaide
18 inside 50âs to 3 that quarter. just dominant. I eagerly await the men playing the same way.

AFLW: Rd 07 vs Adelaide
Holding Adelaide to 1 goal in a half is a great effort, more of the same thanks girls.

Medical Sub
It would seem to me that if you subbed off a player due to the concussion rule, they would be excluded from next weeks game. So youâd only be using it if necessary rather than tactical or to address a specific players poor performance. I agree though with the points made above and donât think itâs a great idea.

Mark Maclure "Soft Culture" Comments
McClure is saying exactly what Jake Niall did in his article on the weekend - our club is less than the sum of our parts (= soft, whatever). If we had 22 champions on the field who all came off the field after a 10 goal belting and they all said "but I did my part", we've still failed because these skilled players have played more for themselves than each other. Our guys need to hold each other accountable, win their contests rather than getting sucked into others' and stick to the plan. I like the siege mentality (it's us against the world). And hopefully we have some continuity with players, because all the above is very difficult to achieve with a high turnover of players due to injury (form should be challenged rather than dropped). Even Barassi has said that our vaulted teams of the 50's weren't a team of champions but a champion team. And Norm clearly held the line with adhering to standards.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MAJAK DAW
That is a super observation dd, very observant mate and lovely to see

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MAJAK DAW
Donât think so. Goody was clear in the post game presss conference that theyâd be taking it slow with Majak. Had to pull himself up halfway through to include âif we take himâ I was a bit surprised as Iâd heard Richardson on SEN say weâd gone for Daw over Paddy McCartin because Daw was good to go for Rd 1 and this was a key selection criteria. Maybe Daw over stated his unobserved pre season?

Sparrow, Jordan and Nietschke
Yesterday wasnât the best day to judge the emerging draftees when we got an all round smacking and the senior players we fielded didnât shine. I donât expect a break in player to be best on ground under those circumstances. Didnât see this level of negativity when we beat Richmond last week. Iâd find a worst three on ground thread after a good win a much more balanced set of view points.

MFC supporter's group to host event at male-only club
Glad itâs sorted when I initially opened this thread, I thought Demonland had arranged a fundraiser at Spearmint Rhino
