Hawks on the Slide: How Mitchell is making life hard for himself

My conspiracy theory is that the Cat supporting Mitch Cleary who didn't rate us all year and didn't have us making the GF in the lead up to finals, has been pumping him up all year out of hatred for the Dees.

The slow motion video of it is even more dramatic. I'm not a lip reader, but my translation from Dogga is that he says a long drawn out "F....n Hell" or at least a very long 'F......' -

When did the tears start watching the grand final?
John Demonic replied to Cassiew's topic in Melbourne Demons
My fist pumping and shaking and shouting of Fritta!! Petracca!! Browny!! and Langdon!! after their goals, all had my voice wobbling/breaking at the end of the shout where I could feel the tears welling and threatening to pour out. The laughter that came out instead was joyful But yeah the moment they embraced/piled on and Harmes with his mouth guard still in smiling widely with the song playing, out they came. Had my fair share of cracks at Harmes over the the journey, so just that moment seeing him so happy made me Burst and then Gawny and Langdon jumping onto him, tears!! -

Goodwin clearly prioritises players who have the best grasp of our system. Where to be, run to, which space to take up, players to keep an eye on. Synergy with the rest of the line. Even if they are carrying something. It only takes an ill timed defensive lapse up forward, for a dangerous rebound and potential end to end goal that catches you out. Didn't see much of that from the Dogs. All our players are on the same page. -

I dont follow the NFL, but I've heard this Tom Brady chap is a clear modern day GOAT. So a Petracca #5peat would be the fitting finale to the 4peat. Solidifying himself as the best of all time. Go Dees! -

And 2013 was the beginning of the Clarko Cluster of coached and assistant coached premierships that was broken by Goodwin on Saturday. So if history repeats, Goodwin to win 2021-2023 before falling to an Adem Yze drought breaking St Kilda premiership in 2024, sprinkle some Chaplin, Stafford or Choco premierships between 2025-2028 Before handing over the reigns to coach Gawn in 2030 ?? Not sure a 3peat is enough for us tbh -
Dumb comment incoming. But I haven't seen any footage of Melksham in the celebrations, I assume he was in the squad and over there partying still? Prob should've watched a replay (or followed their Instagrams) by now though.

Huddo's call of Olivers 3rd Q goal is spine tingling. Not for clever wordplay, but for just being a primal scream of Oliveeeeeeeeer with his voice wobbling/breaking I'd make it my ringtone, but I don't want to have any accidents in public. -

The forward leaning squat is the best starting position for the Petracca Salutation (Leaping Double Fisted muscle pump flex 💪 ) It really opens up the red and blue heart chakra. -
I get Bedford and Lockhart confused. Lockhart was the small defender right? When Smith and Hunt are out of the team for Hibberd, Tomlinson to come in, and Lever to get the ideal small forward matchup. Alongside Bowey and Salem. Then There's not much space on the list I suppose for a specialist small defender

I'm too afraid to mention the 1st quarter Demon player closed fist to the face of a Bulldogs player in a tackle. So I wont.

Have to applaud @binman for the wonderful analysis all year and particularly for the Pre-prelim and GF pods. They really helped with the nerves, filling me with confidence we would win going into the match. And to add to the topic. Definitely Worried, but always knew we had gears to go to subconsciously. The problem is that emotions are more powerful than logic, so we were all watching through the lens of fear, concern and mild panic. Would love to be able to see the game tactically live, but I am a mere mortal! -

I was only comparing them with one another, not in general. Would anyone in the media be in the upper echelons of 590k? And on a consistent basis year by year? -

Not a big deal or omen, but Roco tipping Dees and Finey tipping Dogs on Footyology is a great sign. Finey is a hopeless tipper, and Roco is a measured and smart tipper. He knew the Dogs would win last week. Must be 20 ahead this year. Anyway, Go dees. -
His opinion on the Pickett future pick swap, has already proven he has little imagination for this kind of stuff.
