I hope Goodwin is not trying his best to create a 16-22 of players that missed out last year, purely out of the goodness of his heart and also in relation to the May incident ie Melksham, Smith and then persisting with Hunt, Jordon, Weid ... when there might we better options and/or positional shifts that are an improvement on their current output. I recall a stat for Sydney that they are 17/3 for last quarters won. I say this, as it bodes well for them ending Collingwoods streak this week and being our QF matchup away or at the G (If we win both our games)

We need to improve, but I'm sick of seeing this stat and not the full list of 18 clubs ranked by pressure. it's just a cherry picked champion data headline for fox footy from 1-2 months ago at this point that get bandied about by all talking heads. I want to CD to show us the context of it v our rivals: Where do Geel, Syd, Coll, Freo, Bris all rank in pressure? How does our pressure rank in the past two weeks? Month? etc

Sparrow does alright from a set shot or kicking straight 40-50m out. He rarely gets a shot, but he nails them.

The question is, if you're a WB list manager, how much is enough to satisfy your fans that you bled both Melb/Freo to get the most satisfying package for losing a generational key forward with 2 years left on a contract WB aren't walking out of this without 3 first round picks at a minimum, 2 from Freo, 1 future from Melb. Lobb is steak knives in all of this. Jeremy Cameron at 27 was 3 firsts, Naughton is 22.

The stakes will be massive. If we lose to Collingwood then its close to a write off for the season. Limping into a semi and then beating Geelong In a prelim will be a massive task, then we might be in a re-match against Collingwood in the GF on a 15 game winning streak. Winning a premiership from that position would easily defeat the 2016 Dogs run for difficult challenges. Win that QF and we are well rested for 2 weeks and can watch Geelong and Collingwood bash each other up.

If it makes it easier for you, just imagine an "if this rumour is true" in front of the naughton trade packages. No one here is commenting under any conviction that a rumour is fact. Harmes for Jordon and Gus to the wing is my feeling after last nights game too, Though I watched it on tv and didn't get to see how Jordon was doing re holding space, amount of km's - I just felt he was not manic enough when he had the ball and we need a boost in that department.

I knew after every goal they were gifted in the 50 we were done for. Petty's final free kick was the last nail in the coffin. I won't blame the umps but that had a Collingwood win written all over it in the last quarter. We were scared, and they tackled hard. We played rattled, that was very disappointing. 9 beers deep and I resisted the urge to smash my computer. At least I've got that going for me.

I don't think BBB will ever be due half a dozen at this stage in his career. His best is behind him and you'd have to be playing a very injury depleted backline to see him get on an unencumbered lead that many times. If he's due for 3 or 4 then he will be the perfect piece we've been missing.

The more times goes on, the more I feel like Kelly and Whitfield are highly paid irrelevant stat padders. Good players no doubt, but what individual accolades have they achieved that would make one of them worthy of being involved in an LJ trade, that would make us think we have 5+ years of their best ahead of them? Meh. You can pretend you're above it all if you like, but I consume and enjoy all footy culture, be it demonland, deebrief, fox footy and free tv shows, websites (Bigfooty, mongrel punt etc) radio and podcasts. Ill be screaming in support of the dogs tonight, despite my hatred of them and a few delusional supporters who think they were one josh bruce/easier finals road trip away from winning it.
