CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Sam Reid surely gets the gong for the Kent Kingsley Award for Spuds who perform well against us. Might've been one of the all time great KKA performances. A performance worthy of a starting gig in our forward line. If only we had the mid season trade period...

Here's a left-field idea and I await the facepalms, but can Gawn alternate his rucking with two other players who split the forward/ruck duties? Jackson/Daw up forward alongside Brown? If TMAC is out then we need a physically imposing big body forward who can clunk a mark. Or you stick to the permanent forward, whether its Gawn, Daw or Jackson.- NOT Taylor Walker
My opinion is that I don't have one. AKA Option C) The Footy Department can do whatever they see fit to improve the list and I'll trust their wisdom.- Farewell Sam Weideman
I don't have a problem trading Weid to Port (for Karl Amon) 😜 Edit: actually he's an unrestricted agent, so no trade needed- Farewell Sam Weideman
Yeah, but: https://www.afl.com.au/news/201267/top-draft-prospect-charlie-curnow-arrested-after-refusing-breath-test- Farewell Sam Weideman
Weidy is not the right guy?- TEAMS: Rd 11 vs Fremantle
The mid season trade period begun last night in secret. Out: McDonald In: Tex Walker- Farewell Sam Weideman
Technically 24, but 25 in just a month, and 26 end of season next year when he's OOC and the club has to make a call on him. I don't think he has time on his side for comingg through with the next group of players if next year isn't the one where he steps up and solidifies a spot in the best 22. Our list manager next year is going to be weighing up whether a 26 year old key forward that hasn't broken into the side, is worth the cap space, given there are alternative options like targeting a free agent or trading for a full forward in the 2023 trade period. Re-signing Weid and hoping he will be good enough to be in the team is the kind of leap of faith that could see us (in 2024) with a broken forward line connection, unable to capitalise on all of the inside 50's again like in 2019-2020, that would have us back in the middle tier pack. We'll see what happens anyway, I could be wrong and of course, hope he proves me wrong.- POSTGAME: Rd 09 vs West Coast
I decided midway through the first quarter to do something productive instead, so I did our household cooking with the game on in the background. Maybe next week for the Roos game, I can pay the bills and file some paperwork. Can't wait for the games after that!- TEAMS: Rd 09 vs West Coast
We had a taste of what that was like in the Port game - It was fantastic. It's a special kind of ruthlessness, more demeaning and deflating, than the ruthlessness of the shock n awe goal barrages we've also seen. Just completely cutting off their ability to score anything, and pip a few goals here or there on the rebound each quarter - neutrals will be bored to tears, but for us it's like watching a game of chess unfold. Sip a glass of wine and enjoy. Of course, I wouldn't mind a 100+ point thumping too. A scoreline of zero goals and whatever behinds to 154 would be a grand old payback for that prelim.- Top 10 players from other clubs to help our list
1. Kent Kingsley 2. Josh Bruce 3-10 Bunch of other spuds who play well against us- Steven May on On The Couch
if a player could give away any tactics, an opposition analyst at any rival club might want to look into a different line of work.- CHANGES: Rd 09 vs West Coast
We'll finish top of the ladder on points rather than percentage, so I think we'll get it to 10 goals by midway through the 2nd, and then defend that lead- Where does Gus play when Salem returns?
He does remind me of the Jordan Lewis 3rd man up rucking midfielder of a decade ago that could jump in, put his body on the line and belt it forward.- POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs St Kilda
Whenever ive seen Ross Lyon do a matchup analysis of our games on Footy Classified, in all of last years finals and this week v stkilda , he's always tipped our opponents and said: "I think they can get it done"- Will the next 2 games hurt us?
I hope we beat them both by under two goals each much to the chagrin of many a demonlander. And the fuel left in the tank is saved for 50 point beltings of Freo & Brisbane- TEAMS: Rd 08 vs St. Kilda
When will Melbourne break these embarassing records? *Stares at Hibberd*- Steven May One on One
Definitely not. I'm thinking one of the younger key defenders that are 26-27 by then. Or maybe James Sicily would like to finish his career here- Steven May One on One
Maybe we can pick up a free agent full back from Hawthorn as pay back- Mark Robinson - AFL Coaches Wellbeing
Views or cultivates? 😉😂- Mark Robinson - AFL Coaches Wellbeing
360 is not worth watching when Essendon or Collingwood are struggling. They will dominate every single episode and Robbo will raise his blood pressure with a bombastic heightened emotion 5-10 minute diatribes that make you feel worse off for having sat there listening. At the very least its worth recording and fast forwarding through that content when its on to get the few good bits later on with players, coaches or Montagna/King content.- Secrets to Knock Off Unstoppable Dees
I love the dees, but the minute I get that info I'm fielding 200K offers from rival clubs. Gotta feed the kids.- Dylan Shiel
Maybe Reece Conca is out with the Covid H&S protocols this week, and needs a replacement?- Dylan Shiel
2019 called, they want their desperate mid-season trade idea thread back! ( I was guilty of this as much as anyone) - POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs Sydney
