Welcome to Demonland: Blake Howes
@dazzledavey36Although I think most clubs fans over on some forums, seem quite satisfied with obtaining players they initially wanted. Makes me wonder how much of the draft is secret handshakes between clubs sharing info on who they want, and who they will leave for other clubs. A fraternity of goodwill emerging. That's why we get trade and pick swaps done with no fuss. So we can actually form relationships that get us opportunities to trade up, and have the players we want still on the table.

Welcome to Demonland: Blake Howes
I tuned in as we were on the clock for pick 17 and Cal Twomey or Whoever the young expert was, thought we might have picked him up then. That he had slid to our later pick is fantastic then!

Tonight’s Draft - The Second Crack
I think it may have been a kick out goal that went the full length of the field, in 2030. Though don't worry, Gawny had his hand in it, ruck coaching Big Maccy to punch it over the line for the opposition behind.

Those who left on bad terms...
There was a guy that wrote an article full of justifications for why he was changing the club he supports from Melbourne to Sydney on one of the decent AFL blog sites about 4-5 years ago, maybe it was the mongrel punt. He posted it on Reddit's AFL sub and was instantly met with mockery from memory. Wish I could find it, would be a great read now.

Schadenfreude at last
Howe, Hore & Smith would've been an aerially dominant VFL backline, but just imagine the loose players at the back after all 3 go up for the mark

EVERY ANGLE: New look at Dees' flag-winning burst
ESPN's Mike Breen for the BANG! after every goal. Reminds me of Huddo. On the topic of commentary, having Luke Hodge on special comments was fitting. Reminded me how far we've come from watching him dominate at the G in the GF. And how deflating it was knowing how far Hawthorn were not only ahead of us, but ahead of the nearest competitor.

The Grand Final Rematch
Usually id say this should be reserved for round 4-7 or so, but I think this rivalry will be at its height in terms of drawing a big crowd, big audience. And someone has to replace Collingwood in that slot. Going forward. If we instead played r7-8, the Dogs will probably be mid table after a lacklustre start to a season that will have them slipping back to the pack, and that game will have half as many eyes on it.

My conspiracy theory is that the Cat supporting Mitch Cleary who didn't rate us all year and didn't have us making the GF in the lead up to finals, has been pumping him up all year out of hatred for the Dees.- Link Round Up: 2021 Premiership - Videos, Articles etc.

Dogga- When did the tears start watching the grand final?
My fist pumping and shaking and shouting of Fritta!! Petracca!! Browny!! and Langdon!! after their goals, all had my voice wobbling/breaking at the end of the shout where I could feel the tears welling and threatening to pour out. The laughter that came out instead was joyful But yeah the moment they embraced/piled on and Harmes with his mouth guard still in smiling widely with the song playing, out they came. Had my fair share of cracks at Harmes over the the journey, so just that moment seeing him so happy made me Burst and then Gawny and Langdon jumping onto him, tears!!- Prediction: We will have won the most VFL / AFL premierships by the end of this decade.
100 wins from the next 100 games gives us the 17th flag by way of a 5peat in 2025. Subscribe.- Prediction: We will have won the most VFL / AFL premierships by the end of this decade.
Middle of the decade*- POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
Goodwin clearly prioritises players who have the best grasp of our system. Where to be, run to, which space to take up, players to keep an eye on. Synergy with the rest of the line. Even if they are carrying something. It only takes an ill timed defensive lapse up forward, for a dangerous rebound and potential end to end goal that catches you out. Didn't see much of that from the Dogs. All our players are on the same page.- POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
I dont follow the NFL, but I've heard this Tom Brady chap is a clear modern day GOAT. So a Petracca #5peat would be the fitting finale to the 4peat. Solidifying himself as the best of all time. Go Dees!- POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
And 2013 was the beginning of the Clarko Cluster of coached and assistant coached premierships that was broken by Goodwin on Saturday. So if history repeats, Goodwin to win 2021-2023 before falling to an Adem Yze drought breaking St Kilda premiership in 2024, sprinkle some Chaplin, Stafford or Choco premierships between 2025-2028 Before handing over the reigns to coach Gawn in 2030 ?? Not sure a 3peat is enough for us tbh - Mac Andrew
