MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 19
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I cannot understand how Roos can spout on about picking an in form team and then drop a player for a guy who is not in form? -
The OX slams 'crap' Demons.
DistrACTION Jackson replied to John Crow Batty's topic in Melbourne Demons
The OX seems to be doing this more and more. The Hogan one earlier in the year springs to mind. -
100% agree. It's all a load of rubbish. The only culture I care about is one where you win.
-
I am so f-ing sick of losing to these pretenders every year! These players need to have a hard look at themselves and ask if they really want to be a top side, cause at the minute we look like a bottom 4 side!

How do we get Prestia AND Hibberd to the club?
DistrACTION Jackson replied to watchtheeyes's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'd say if ANB was to go anywhere it would be back to SA. Therefore, we may trade ANB to Port for their 2nd round pick which we can buddle up with next years 1st to GC for Prestia. I think our 2nd round pick should get the job done for Hibberd as frankly the Bombers just need to accept they [censored] up. Doubt this will happen though! Our FD showed last trade period they are good at getting desired outcomes so I'm comfortable they will get another good results this year. -
I agree it would be most likely the player would not want to head down this route. I think Essendon will end up accepting our 2nd round pick and will move on. They will puff their chests out like the morons they are but in the end they let the players down and will move on.

Jack Watts signs for three years (21/7/16)
DistrACTION Jackson replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
I recall how much the Melbourne Footy Club and Jack Watts copped in the early days when Natanui first started. I would be so stoked if Watts ended up a premiership player and Natainui won nothing..... -
Around The Grounds - ROUND 16
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Deemented Are Go!'s topic in Melbourne Demons
His point is that you can't be equal anything as percentage is always factored in. So saying you are equal ninth is a moot point. And Dwayne Russell is a [censored] I think was another point. -
Time to be bold and blood for 2017
DistrACTION Jackson replied to picket fence's topic in Melbourne Demons
Collingwood play Crows in Adelaide next week.... They will get spanked silly and then everyone will be quiet. I also heard the Channel 7 commentators saying similar things about Richmond when they beat the Gold Coast... I had to chuckle to myself. -
Around The Grounds - ROUND 16

How Priddis won a brownlow medal is beyond me. He would have to have one of the worst disposal efficiency of any of the brownlow medalists in history! -
POST MATCH DISCUSSION - Round 16
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I love Jayden Hunt. I can't believe how good a player he is going to turn out to be! Who would've known! -
I would say the midfield is the most important part of building a premiership side. Look at the last 10 Premiers, I think they all have at least 4 A grade mids. Hawks: Mitchell, Lewis, Hodge & Smith (probably B+) Swans: Kennedy, Jack, Hannebery & Parker Cats: Selwood, Bartel, Corey, Ling, Ablett Jnr & Kelly (probably the best midfield of the last 10 years)
-
I think you would be surprised. I think they both got pretty decent contracts of around 300-400 a year back when we were sh*thouse
-
Dawes, Grimes, Terlich, M Jones all either big pay cut or delisted.

DistrACTION Jackson replied to Deemented Are Go!'s topic in Melbourne Demons
Mate we beat Geelong in Geelong last season..... Way to pick and choose your stats. We also beat Adelaide in Adelaide two seasons ago. -
Greater Western Sydney (a dynasty to rival the Hawks)
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Diamond_Jim's topic in Melbourne Demons
Imagine running out to that song every game..... it would give you zero excitement. And even worse imagine singing it after the game? I don't know which is worse, Freo, West Coast or GWS. -
Lachie Whitfield wants out of GWS
DistrACTION Jackson replied to defuture15's topic in Melbourne Demons
Would definitely fill a need for us in a skillful, outside runner. Hopefully Tyson, Bugg and Frost can wooo him over. -

DistrACTION Jackson replied to Diamond_Jim's topic in Melbourne Demons
I doubt Mumford will still be there when we are challenging them. Same goes for Shaw and Griffen. -
Tom McDonald (and Oscar) SIGNS.
DistrACTION Jackson replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
100% agree. On a day like that you just have to keep sending it forward at all costs. There is absolutely zero point doing switches in the pouring rain. -
MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 13
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Surely if there is buckets of rain forecast we will drop one of the talls, possibly even two? -
It would be fairly sweet if Hibberd walked for nothing...... However, I'm predicting that he is 100% gone but will come for a 2nd round pick. The Dons will have to suck it up otherwise he will just walk.

Who are the Dees chasing for 2017 and at what cost?
DistrACTION Jackson replied to junk's topic in Melbourne Demons
Interesting. I wonder if the players would be happy to use that clause if it would mean Essendon end up with nothing? How sweet it would be if Hurley and Hibberd came over and the Bombers get nothing... haha -
Tom McDonald (and Oscar) SIGNS.
DistrACTION Jackson replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
As a financial advisor I agree with this statement, 700K today is worth more than 700K in 5 years! -
Tom McDonald (and Oscar) SIGNS.
DistrACTION Jackson replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yeah I understand the total payments will be increasing but what I wanted to point out is a guy like Gibson, who I think is a better defender than McDonald took a lot less than he could've got to be a part of a successful side. -
Tom McDonald (and Oscar) SIGNS.
DistrACTION Jackson replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
I've got a mate who was an accountant for a few Hawks guys. Gibson was on about 400K, that's how they win flags everyone is willing to sacrifice. We need our players to do the same to have any chance.
