Gains amid the wreckage
This has been the year from hell, with a terrible pre-season, consistent injuries and extremely poor form resulting in the disaster we have right now. My silver lining: - Marty Hore looks a solid player - Oskar Baker could be a great wing option - Harry Petty looks to be a great key position prospect at just 19 - Hunt has got back in some good form - We will most likely have a pick between 2-4 - We will get an easier draw next season We better put any players with niggling injuries in for surgery early so we can actually get a full pre-season or I'll be [censored].....

Footscray v Casey Demons - Round 15
I don't want to McDonald bash.... but he just doesn't look like it at the moment. No confidence at all.

Footscray v Casey Demons - Round 15
I'm liking the look of Jordon. Very raw, but you can see as he starts to put on size and get an AFL body he could be a very good player.

Brad Hill
I'd be all for going for both and offering Stephen a 1 year deal given his injury history. I just think the media make up whatever they think could happen. I could sit there and think of scenarios all day haha

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND KYLE DUNKLEY
That's awesome

Brad Hill
Curely they just make this stuff up and are guessing getting Stephen Hill is a sweetner....

Brad Hill
Unrestricted free agent so we can just pick him up if he wants.

Brad Hill
If we end up with say pick 5 or 6, what would people think about trading it to Freo for Hill, Langdon and their 2nd round pick?

Midfield Issues.
100% agree with this and nice to see some measured commentary. I really don't think we need to trade any of Oliver, Viney, Harmes, Petracca or Brayshaw. What we do need to do is 1)get them all through a full pre-season and 2) bring in some high presssure/skilled players. A backline of Lever, May, Frost, Hore, Hibberd and Jetta is one of the best in the league. With Melksham back and McDonald back in form our forward line is solid enough. Probably need another high pressure forward.

Injury List - Season 2019
Gee I'd love to know what moisturizer Burgo is using....

What's more important for us...
I think with some smart drafting/trading and a full pre-season we should be challenging again next season. We made a pre-lim with key backs of Oscar and Frost only. May and Lever included is a huge increase in key back talent. We just need some quick, skilful players in my mind. Weid will be a year older and hopefully TMac will bring his best from Round 1.

Margin Call: Should we trade our early pick/s?
My view is it depends on the number of our pick and the available talent. If someone like Jack Martin from the Suns is available, at age 24 we would be crazy not to trade for him given he is exactly what we lack. Then if someone like Ed Langdon was also available I'd happily trade our 1st round pick for Martin and 2nd round pick for Langdon. Both take us one step closer to a flag, which at the end of the day is the only thing the club exists for. From m understanding we can trade this years' pick, but must use a 1st rounder either this year or next year.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Loved his game. Absolute bull at a gate.

Should we be Chasing Darcy Parish
I'd love to see us go after Stephen Hill and Isaac Smith. Shouldn't cost much given Hill is a free agent and Smith is 30. We've got the inside mids, just need to add some cream to the side. I'd also like to see our starting mid next year be Viney, Brayshaw and Oliver, with Harmes first rotation. I think Harmes has more weapons up forward than the other three so should play 70% mid and 30% forward.

He is rivaling Barry Prendergast as the most inept recruiter in history.

CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
100% agree. He's a smooth mover and the type of player we haven't had for a while. He is earning his position at the moment, but even if he has a slight drop off we just have to keep playing him to build his experience for next season. I'd love to see him play on Brad Hill when we play the Dockers to learn a thing or two and see where he needs to get his tank to the level of.
