WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
I think they just have more cash to throw around given retirements and the fact they have a young list.

Hayden Young (Drafted by Fremantle)
100% agree. Add in a couple of electric small forwards and another key forward marking option and we are away. 2020 flag here we come.

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
Gillon McLachlan really is a blight on the game. He moves the goal posts to suit his agenda, talks about wanting players to stay at certain teams (Coniglio) and comes up with rules on the fly. I don't care if it is pick 2 or 3, as the end result is these players will eventually leave the GC and come back to Melbourne. The only way the AFL will be able to keep players up there is if they give the Suns double the salary cap of the other clubs. It's just so frustrating that this is another example in a long line of AFL bias and a completely inept administration.

Get Izzy Folau
Is this thread serious? Could you imagine the fall out re sponsors if we did that? We would basically be left with the only option being the catholic church, and maybe even they would try distance themselves from him given their current plight.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
We need to look at anyone who can tackle and kick a goal. Butler, Papley, Sam gray, Shai Bolton, Jarrod Cameron, Jack Petruccele. In m mind we need two of these guys for next season.

Petracca on the Move?
Both are contracted so I'd be saying no trade. I'd be very surprised if they were both asking to be traded.

Dees to meet with AFL Commission after disastrous 2019
I was about to post the same thing....

Lewis Whacks Playing Group
In a way I like hearing this, as it explains a bit of drop off in our form, along with the injuries etc. We all make mistakes, the key is how the players respond. It's up to them, the coaches can only give them the tools, they need to execute on that. Could be the best learning curve guys like Brayshaw, Oliver and Petracca ever get.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
I'd say our 2nd round pick will get it done, given he is out of contract. He is worth it, given what he brings is something we lack.

Undercover Supporter
I'll do it if Demonland sponsor my membership and by me the gear. I'll even remove a tooth if it's Collingwood to ensure I'm authentic.

New Balance Re-Commits For 3 More Years
Love buying shoes with their deals. Hoping they bring back the 70% off deal to celebrate...

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
Worth a punt for nothing on a 1 year contract. What do we have to lose?

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
I like the effort put in, but what makes you think Gold Coast will rade Jack Martin for pick 16? He is worth a pick around 10, so it would be unlikely they accept that. Zak Jones and Langdon is definetly realistic.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
We went hard at the draft for 3 years in a row. Brayshaw, Oliver, Petracca, Weideman all top 10 picks. My view is if we end up with pick 2 we use it on Anderson or Rowell. Anything above that I'd be looking at a pick swap option, for example: our first rounder plus second for Brad Hill & their first round pick.

Clayton Oliver a battler?

Sam Day free agent? Forward line next season: HF: Melksham TMac Butler F: Fritsch Day Gray

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
What about Sam Day as a free agent? Big bodied KPF who could be forward/back up ruck. TMac then plays high half forward and Weid third tall.

Pruess...VFL is his spot
These last 5 weeks is the perfect time to play him with Gawn to see if they can build a good partnership. I'd also like to see Gawn wrapped in cotton wool and Pruess play out the season as our sole ruck.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KYSAIAH KROPINYERI PICKETT
I think the most important thing to consider is how do you pronounce his name?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KYSAIAH KROPINYERI PICKETT
I find it frustrating that as a side we used to have so many exciting indigenous and irish players. Farmer, Jurrah, Davey, Woenamirri, Stynes, Wight etc. We don't seem to pick any players like that anymore.... our side lacks imagination and x factor. Look at the Eagles yesterday! Riolo, Ryan, Cameron, Jetta....

The AFL wants to reduce tackling
There is one change they can make that will solve all their problems. Reduce the interchange cap to 10 per quarter. Players will then have to play more to a position and there would be a lot less rolling scrums resulting in less tackles because there isn't 12-15 players all around a stoppage. We don't need the 6-6-6 rule, that's all they need to do. Back in the 70's and 80's the interchange was more used as a substitute, with players on the been playing very few minutes. If they want to have more 1 on 1 contests then that is the answer.
