  1. Word is the Neale deal will be done tomorrow. I assume the Hogan deal will be done on Tuesday and then the May deal finalised on Wednesday.
  2. That article suggests it will get done once Neale is traded, as everyone already thinks. Freo are just using tactics to try get the best deal possible, but obviously they aren't trading with amateurs so we will have our 'walk-away' price and that is fair enough. Pick 5 and 2019 2nd round will get it done, which is a bit disappointing as I think he is worth pick 5 and a pick around 15-18, but that is really just crying over spilt milk. We will send 5 to GC and hopefully get a 2nd pick back to use in the draft.
  3. Why not? He played there as a junior.
  4. If I was Freo I'd be doing the following: Pick 11 & 23 to GWS for Lobb and pick 14 Neale & pick 49 to Brissy for Pick 5, 2019 2nd round & pick 41 Pick 5 & 14 to Melb for Hogan We can then send 5 & 32 to GC for May and pick 24
  5. Word of May touring the Dogs facilities. This could actually force Freo's hand as they will know our incentive to trade Hogan this year would disappear if May was off the table.
  6. Really enjoyed the guy calling in talking about how good Matt Taberner and Brennan Cox are. In Cox's second season he kicked 18 goals. In Hogan's first season he kicked 44 goals.
  7. Yeah they did. Not sure what happened.
  8. If a deal doesn't get done I think JH and his management would be pretty filthy with Freo. Could be the instigation to get him to sign a long-term deal.
  9. How funny would it be if the Eagles offer a great deal and they get him next year. Or even better he signs on and becomes a coleman medalist and multiple premiership player.
  10. Clubs are happy to help depth players move to clubs where they may get more of an opportunity. The North one was more of a head scratcher as he is best 22. I guess with Hall and Polec coming in they thought he was surplus.
  11. You really think Kent is worth more than this? The bloke can hardly get out on the park. North Melbourne traded a guy to the Swans who played 20 odd games in 2018 for pick 61.
  12. Yeah agree. It really depends what they are wanting.
  13. Apparently Fagan came out and said he hasn't requested a trade. Barrett then back tracked saying 'in an ideal world Dayne Beams would be at Collingwood next year'.
  14. I won't listen to trade radio when he is on. Mind you I've pretty much stopped listening to all of them. Bartel is really the only one I don't mind listening to.
  15. 2019 Norm Smith Medalist
  16. Saw him today down at Junction Oval at the JLT one day final.
  17. 100% agree. There are plenty of one-paced mids out there. Perhaps we've already got something in the works and know Tyson will be surplus to needs.... Andy Brayshaw perhaps?? Speculation only.
  18. Uncontracted and restricted/unrestricted free agents are very different things. An uncontracted player must be traded, either for picks, players or a combination of the two. If an agreement can't be reached then that player has to nominate for the draft and hope no other club picks him up. A free agent can walk to the other club without a trade, however often the club they are leaving will receive a compensation pick from the AFL. While your point that most players reach their destination is correct, the two types of contract situations are very different.
  19. Trade Radio saying Rory Lobb is worth a 1st round pick?? I thought a 2nd round would get it done for him or am I missing something?
  20. You neglected to mention T Mac, O Mac, Hannan, ANB, Fritsch, Spargo, Hunt, Harmes and VandenBerg. I think our later selections have been above average.
  21. The more I think about it, if Freo will play hardball on Neale we are better asking for Freo's pick 5 (will be 6) and Freo's 2019 first round pick. There is likely to be some other swap of picks done. Hopefully the next move would be for Carlton to offer up one of their 2nd round picks for Tyson. We can then go to the Swans with this 2nd round and our 2019 first round pick to get a hold of their pick 13, potentially with swap of other picks etc to get the points right. We would then trade pick 6 and probably a few other picks and swaps etc to get May. Out: Hogan, 2018 Pick 6, Tyson, 2018 Pick 25. In: May, 2018 Pick 13, 2019 Pick (likely 5-8 range) Then let Taylor and co. go to work with those picks.
  22. I find it really hard to believe that the list management team would not already know that Tyson would not want to head to GC. They would have conversations with Tyson's management and ask the question about moving to the GC, which would be shut down quickly and everyone would look at other options. This just seems to be media trying to create stories.
  23. I have heard the same thing from another person....
