  1. It actually makes no sense that a retired players salary is in the salary cap. They are no longer playing, so why should that affect the ability to pay other players under the cap. Fair enough we have to pay him out of his contract, but just don’t understand the reasoning behind the cap issue
  2. I feel the exact same way… let’s stick it up everyone
  3. When Jeffo kicks his first afl goal I’m hoping I sit near you…. Will be a celebration of epic proportions
  4. I’m not saying they aren’t any good. Just saying there is scope for improvement… like there is with anything
  5. Content I enjoy, not much. Content that people much younger than me enjoy, probably plenty. No offence Saty, but you’re not really the target market when we talk about engagement through social media.
  6. Picket Fence maybe?
  7. Totally understand your concerns with social media in general and the way the algorithms are setup should be criminal. However I don’t think we can compare AFL tik toks and instagram posts with some of the other stuff that goes on
  8. Great point. That is a lot of supporters we could leverage to grow our social media presence
  9. Correct. I would actually view it as an investment into our future more than just employing someone.
  10. Yep 100%. I’m not big on social media personally, but if the club aren’t on the front foot with this stuff they will be left behind and anyone who can’t see that doesn’t understand the modern world.
  11. Totally agree. Oh wow we all get together and take a photo together every win… idgaf
  12. My girlfriend works in marketing and media and previously was working with an agency who dealt with Toyota and the AFL. She’s since moved on but was telling me that the AFL and clubs don’t pay that well in the industry, mainly because it is seen that people do it for the ‘love of football’ or whatever. I’ve always felt this is an area our club should exploit. Pay the extra $40-$50k per annum to get the very best media/marketer we can get to really ramp up our content. This is so important in today’s world unfortunately!
  13. Liking the new training kit!
  14. Agreed. Think he is the ideal Gus replacement in that way, the team glue guy.
  15. I’m very comfortable with any of Smith, Langford or FOS at our first pick. All have different strengths and weaknesses, so can’t see us losing on this one. Will be interesting to see who we go at pick 9 and if we did go Langford it could be great to pair him up with his mate Hynes
  16. I personally didn’t see the horrendous ball use in his highlights you are talking about. Quite often he was running at full tilt or under pressure and hit a number of targets.
  17. I wouldn’t count 2023 as a dismal year. We finished 4th and then lost two finals by 7 and 1 point. The finals were disappointing but not dismal. Last year was a bit dismal, but still won 11 games with a lot of negative stuff going on.
  18. Confirm houses are being trained down
  19. Noosa and is training hard going by his insta and in full contact training. Bloke is a machine.
  20. Imagine him and Windsor tearing up the midfield…
  21. Sharp aerobically is superior to ANB… so he would be the ideal candidate
  22. Verrall and Fullarton are 200cm. I don’t think you need to have a 200cm player, it’s a nice to have. Jeffo is apparently 195-197cms but if he has a big leap then not much difference
  23. Actually a nice place to sit. Watch other teams scramble and we can just rank our players and see who falls our way. Will be very interested what happens with our 2nd pick
  24. That suspension was a joke. He’s really worked on being careful with late bumps etc
  25. Fair enough.... just making a joke as I really cbf looking up who each teams recruiting manager is
