Pass Mark 2019
I think a pass mark is top four finish in the regular season and then to make a prelim. B Making the Grand Final. A Winning the Grand Final. A+

Lyon's Plea to Petracca: Be Like Max
100% agree with this.

Jumper Revamp
The three options we have atm are by far the best we've ever had since the AFL brought in clash jumpers. I will be [censored] if we change them!
-
2019 Fixture
The Tigers play that night so we are actually slightly better off.

2019 Fixture
Play Pies, Tigers and Eagles twice. Pretty tough in my view. Good fixturing and money generation though with home games v Bombers, Tigers & Pies.

2019 Fixture
If we are playing Saturday night in round 2, how do we play a Thursday in round 4? Are they going to give us two six day breaks in a row!

PICKS # 26 & 31 (formerly # 23 & 28)
I agree we don't need a developing tall. We can just go after one in free agency if we end up needing one. I'd like to see us pick another inside mid and then a couple of quick small forward/mids (one will be Bedford).

2019 Fixture
Assume the week before we will get either a Thursday or Friday night game. Otherwise we will have a 5 day break!

2019 Fixture
Would be a good result if we can an extended break after the Darwin game!

Vale Colin Sylvia
There was a period where on his day he was up there with the best. Such a sad day. RIP

2018 Delisted Free Agents
I'd like to see us pick up Townsend and Sheridan as depth players for the midfield. Then take picks 23, 28, 54 & 62 in the draft. Could look something like: 23 - Bailey Williams 28 - Ely Smith 54 - Toby Bedford 62 - no idea

AFLX squad
I would select everyone other than our most important players.... I'm comfortable coming last in AFLX

Farewell Jesse Hogan
All we need next season is for Sammy to average 2 goals a game, to go with TMacs 3, which I think is very achievable given our strength in the middle. Assuming they both play 22 games that would give Sam 44 for the year and Tommy 66. Then we just need the usual suspects to bob up here and there like Nibbler, Trac, Hannan, Vanders, Spargo & Melksham.

Bailey Williams
Would be good as a developing tall who won't have to play seniors for 2-3 years and can develop properly at VFL level. I also like the look of Ely Smith as an option in the 20's. He is a ready-go mid who is massive at 188cm and 89kg.

2019 Jumper Numbers
I;d like to see: 1 - Stephen May 12 - Kade Kolodjashnij 37 - Braydon Preuss

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
Agreed. His second season of AFL was outstanding and looked to be a potential A grader. Obviously he's had some issues but hopefully new scenery and a strong club will help him get back to his best.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
Yeah I think that's wrong. He's 190cm I believe

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Agree. That as actually the first thing I thought when I saw that. I could see him playing there until he is 28-29 and coming back to replace TMac and win a flag..... would be such a Fremantle thin to happen haha

PICKS # 26 & 31 (formerly # 23 & 28)
I think it may be to do with the fact Toby Bedford is an academy prospect. There's a chance someone would bid before pick 36, but unlikely before pick 28.

THE 2018 AFL NATIONAL DRAFT
Now that the trade period is done and we have picks 23 & 28 this thread should be more interesting. Having a look at the top 30 phantom drafts, there seems to be a few big-bodied mids that may be available in the 20's which could be a good pick-up now Tyson is gone. Here are some I think are possibilities at these picks: - Sam Sturt - rangey half-forward - Luke Valente - reliable mid. Good on both sides. - Ed McHenry - hard-running small forward - Xavier Duursma - mid/half-back who is a smooth mover. - Ely Smith - big-bodied bullocking midfielder. - Xavier O'Halloran - outstanding athlete who tested well at the combine. And of course I can't leave out academy prospect Toby Bedford who we will hopefully take with pick 54 and looks like a lively small forward.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Come to think of it, this replaced Howey's hangers....... seems any player that has entertainment named after them leaves. Perhaps we run Kennedy-Harris hangers next year?

Delisting, Trade and FA discussion 2018
Correct. Though it depends on where Bedford gets bid on. If someone bids on him before pick 28, then we will have to use that pick on him. If it is after pick 28 but before pick 54, then we use pick 54 and pick 62 slides slightly. If it's after pic 54 then happy days.

PICKS # 26 & 31 (formerly # 23 & 28)
When I heard we were after pick 28 I was pretty excited. Happy to see we've managed to get the deal done.

Perhaps we are up to something? Maybe trying to get into the first round.
