  1. 100% agree. There are plenty of one-paced mids out there. Perhaps we've already got something in the works and know Tyson will be surplus to needs.... Andy Brayshaw perhaps?? Speculation only.

Agree with this. Maybe not too small, but definitely a turnover merchant.

I don't see what all the fuss is about with Shiel, he's an average midfielder. Oliver, Viney & Brayshaw are all better than him and Harmes and Petracca could easily surpass him also. Last season he averaged just over 24 touches a game at under 70% disposal efficiency. He was elite only in inside 50s, everything else he is average or below average. Won't be the difference between a flag or no flag at the Bombers.
  4. Uncontracted and restricted/unrestricted free agents are very different things. An uncontracted player must be traded, either for picks, players or a combination of the two. If an agreement can't be reached then that player has to nominate for the draft and hope no other club picks him up. A free agent can walk to the other club without a trade, however often the club they are leaving will receive a compensation pick from the AFL. While your point that most players reach their destination is correct, the two types of contract situations are very different.
  5. Trade Radio saying Rory Lobb is worth a 1st round pick?? I thought a 2nd round would get it done for him or am I missing something?
  6. You neglected to mention T Mac, O Mac, Hannan, ANB, Fritsch, Spargo, Hunt, Harmes and VandenBerg. I think our later selections have been above average.
  7. The more I think about it, if Freo will play hardball on Neale we are better asking for Freo's pick 5 (will be 6) and Freo's 2019 first round pick. There is likely to be some other swap of picks done. Hopefully the next move would be for Carlton to offer up one of their 2nd round picks for Tyson. We can then go to the Swans with this 2nd round and our 2019 first round pick to get a hold of their pick 13, potentially with swap of other picks etc to get the points right. We would then trade pick 6 and probably a few other picks and swaps etc to get May. Out: Hogan, 2018 Pick 6, Tyson, 2018 Pick 25. In: May, 2018 Pick 13, 2019 Pick (likely 5-8 range) Then let Taylor and co. go to work with those picks.
  8. Love him. Shouldn't have been dropped for the prelim. Will become a quality wing/half backer. I think him, Salem & Kolodjasnij will all rotate on the wings and half back next season.
  9. I think this is a good idea and actually gives hard working players in the state leagues another avenue to get on an AFL list.
  10. I find it really hard to believe that the list management team would not already know that Tyson would not want to head to GC. They would have conversations with Tyson's management and ask the question about moving to the GC, which would be shut down quickly and everyone would look at other options. This just seems to be media trying to create stories.
  11. I have heard the same thing from another person....
  12. I wonder when he will get his statue outside the G.....
  13. I sat with a mate as Redlegs members this season and we have another mate who called up today to join (he's MCC). The girl on the phone mentioned that they have been inundated with member calls, so much so that the level 2 member section will be sold out today! This bodes well and 50k is very achievable for 2019 and may be closer to 55-60k. Great to hear. Unfortunately I don't think we can get three seats together!
  14. The major benefit is Freo won't want to risk waiting another year as the Eagles may have more to deal with next season. Their hand will get forced as a result.
  15. There was a pick back to Collingwood and 5 & 10 isn't really much different to 7 & 7.
  16. Just renewed my redlegs membership..... pumped!
  17. I looked through their list and there weren't a lot. Other than the obvious ones i.e. Brayshaw, Cerra, Fyfe the only other one is Ed Langdon who we apparently already been after.
  18. Who are you hearing ET? Btw how to a subscribe to your daily update podcast?
  19. Seriously can't stand that bloke. 1) Neale is easily worth a 1st round pick and early 2nd. 2) Hogan is easily worth two first round picks GC would probably accept pick 5 for May and Freo would be laughing if they got Hogan for Neale.
  20. They just talk for the sake of talking. It is incredible really, I wonder how much they are getting paid for this c*rap? Dal Santo yesterday saying Tyson is a good user on the outside.... seriously no idea! He's an inside mid with questionable disposal who's been forced to play on the wing. McClure suggesting Hogan isn't worth two first round picks when he is one of the best young key forwards in the game..... I'd suggest stop listening and giving them air time.
  21. A lot of those were cheap pick ups and more for depth purposes.
  22. Just getting my first team in for 2019.... Werridee gave us a different team every day.
  23. I think Vanders will stay.... just a hunch.
  24. Mahoney's interview discussin Hogan all sounded very rehearsed to the point I think they are a long way down the road with both Freo & GC. I think there is a 90% chance Hogan is at Freo and May is at Melbourne next year (opinion). Best 22 next year: B: Jetta May Hibberd HB: Lever O Mac Salem ? Fritsch Viney Harmes HF: Melksham Weid ANB F: Spargo T Mac Petracca R: Gawn Oliver Brayshaw Int: Preuss Kolodjashnij Lewis Jones
