  1. What about Petracca?? What about McDonald?? What a joke this list is.
  2. Seems to be a really impressive guy. Will be a big loss this year but I'm sure he will be supporting the team and will likely be providing the defenders with some coaching.
  3. I've got a feeling we will bring in Declan Keilty to have first crack at the Lever role. While the loss will definitely hurt, if he can come in and play a role for the team then we should be able to cover this. Hibberd will be required to step up in the intercept role in Lever's absence.
  4. Nervous wait until we hear the outcome of the scan! Hopefully only a 3-4 week injury and he could be back after the bye.
  5. I hope the club come out soon to confirm the Lever injury. My anxiety levels have risen...
  6. He will jump ship after their GF loss.... to the team that beat them. There's my prediction.
  7. This thread will now be in overdrive.....
  8. While I agree with Reiwoldt's views, it seems the media like to choose their narrative and stick with it no matter what. Take the Eagles for example, who granted are playing well, however 7 of their 9 wins are against bottom 10 sides. Also, their two wins against top 8 sides have been at home and one of them was against an injury ravaged Geelong, who were down to one fit man on the bench. Geelong were getting on top that day until they lost those players and then the Eagles ended up running over them. They don't seem to mention this at all.
  9. Look at his backline. All small running backs. The weekly team should be as close to an actual team as possible, so a minimum of two tall backman. Lever should have been in that side without a doubt.
  10. He is a freak. Could go down as one of the greats of the game, and that is not even exaggerating.
  11. Looks like I'll be heading to Etihad for this one
  12. I didn't see that?? Can you send me the photo!
  13. Fritsch and Hannan compliment our mids perfectly. They are both relatively quick, skilled and can take an overhead mark and are reliable shots on goal. We looked way too slow on the flanks when these guys weren't playing. Can't see Tyson getting back in unless we get an injury to one of our inside mids. What a luxury to have Tyson and Hunt as emergencies! May it continue....
  14. Probably the best part of the article was this beauty...... don't think this will be happening any time soon sorry Adam.
  15. Agreed. But if a team is inflating their numbers the sponsors will know about it. Plus they would also want to know average game attendance, average TV audience, number of full season members v a few games etc. There would be a lot more to it than just the number a club promotes on its website.
  16. Oliver is 3 years younger. Has an 8% better disposal efficiency and is more damaging with his handballs and more explosive. Oliver without a doubt.
  17. The only thing that really matters at the end of the day is revenue generated from memberships, not the number. Giving out memberships is only patching over the issues, which are deep judging by reports of the Saints finncial performances the last few years.
  18. Why the AFL use a different tribunal each time is confusing? Surely you would you the same people for the entirety of the year to ensure the outcomes are consistent?
  19. Demonland logic for you..... The grass is always greener
  20. I love Dom but he is really up and down at the moment and Viney needs to come in to get an AFL game under the belt before we take on the Crows in the NT. Out: Tyson In: Viney B: Jetta OMac Hibberd HB: Hibberd Lever Lewis c : Brayshaw Oliver Salem HF: Fritsch Hogan Melksham F: Spargo TMac Weideman R: Gawn Jones Viney Int: Neal-Bullen Harmes Petracca Vince
  21. I think about this type of thing also, however I think it is best to just continue to play the best options and see how things evolve. You never know, we may draft a young guy who comes in and is a gun small defender or we move a player into defence and they do well. The team is constantly evolving and I don't think you could look much further than a few weeks into the future.
  22. We've got Carlton, Adelaide, Bulldogs & Collingwood before the bye. Realistically we could be 8-4 heading into the bye. After the bye we have Port, Saints, Fremantle & Bulldogs. So realistically we could be 11-5 after that stint.
  23. How good would another Yze running around be! One of my all time favs.
  24. What a farce. The AFL think they are doing the right thing by trying to 'grow' the women's game but I think it will have negative impact. The level of games next season will be abysmal and people will stop watching. They should have kept the same teams for 4-5 years and then try to integrate new sides (maximum 2 per year).
