Dermott’s 2022 flag prediction
100% agree. He just rambles every time I listen to him, in a manner not too different from Donald Trump. I get a good laugh out of it, but his analysis is pretty poor.

Dermott’s 2022 flag prediction
Derm is on another planet half the time and he also despises Melbourne so he couldn't bring him self to admit we are the best side in it. I think Richmond will definitely be back in the top 8, just not sure how far they will go. With their recent retirements and players leaving they are very thin for depth. Plus some of the key components of their premierships in Cotchin, Reiwoldt and Edwards are getting towards the wrong side of 30. I think they may scrap into top 4 but likely will be around the 5th/6th mark.

In Jason Taylor we trust!
I think that is what we have been doing the last few years. 2017: Picks 29, 31 & 37 2018: Picks 27, 33, 53, 56 & 75 2019: Picks 3, 12 & 32 2020: Picks 21, 22 & 34 2018 was the only outlier where we used 5 picks, which may have been to do with list spots and players we lost in 2017. Of those three above pick 40, Hore and Nietschke are gone and Toby Bedford was pick 75, who at this stage you would think may be on the chopping block at the end of 2022 (not having a crack at him it is just the way of list management).

Father-son selections
Love the father son rule and the changes made using the points system has made it much fairer. If they get rid of this rule it would be pretty disappointing as it is a unique part of our game and builds family traditions.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
I don't think we can play all of May, Lever, Petty and Tommo at once. I think Hunt will replace Hibbo next year and would've played in the finals if he didn't get injured.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
Why does everyone want to move Petty forward? He is going to be one of the best full backs in the competition. May starts next year at 30, so by the time he is set to retire in 3-4 years Petty will be in his prime and ready to take that spot. One thing I've realised is you don't need star forwards to win finals and kick big scores. You need good players who all compliment each other and work as a team. If you watched Sydney this year they actually looked more dangerous early in the season when Buddy wasn't playing.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
They just expect GFs to be handed to them by the umps like in 2016....

Do you know much about josh Browne Pennant?

Welcome to Demonland: Luke Dunstan
I see he is doing some training with Gus and Gawny. Good to see.

Welcome to Demonland: Taj Woewodin
Just checking and it looks like McGrath played 18 games compared to Woewodin 15 and Browne 14. Interestingly, Twomey had Browne in his U19 team of the year but he isn't in the top 30 of the draft. Averaged 32 touches at colts level and kicked 11 goals....

The Grand Final Rematch
Bring it on. This team is made of the right stuff and it won't bother them who they play. Cannot wait to see the flag unfurled.... hopefully by Jonesy.

Mac Andrew
Thought I'd also touch on Sam Darcy who had the following averages from 3 NAB league matches: 16 disposals 6.3 marks 6 hitouts 1 tackle 0.3 goals He did have 6 goals in a Vic metro v Vic country match, which is why I think he is going so high. But again, those stats are similar to Mac and you could probably argue Mac is ahead other than that state based game. My personal view is neither would have been a top 10 pick in a draft that was strong on key talls.

2021 Player Reviews: #13 Clayton Oliver
I love this man so much. Hope like hell he is a one club, 300 game star of the MFC to go with a few flags.

Mac Andrew
The thing I don't really understand, in the past a player with similar attributes to Mac would be seen as a riskier pick and likely fall in the 20-40 range. He has shown some great skills and attributes in his highlights reel, but that's the thing, it is only highlights. In 6 NAB league games Mac has the following averages: 12.7 disposals 2.7 marks 1.7 tackles 1.5 inside 50s 12.7 hitouts 0.3 goals In comparison in the 2019 colts season Luke Jackson had the following from 8 games: 18.6 disposals 3.1 marks 2.3 tackles Inside 50s - unknown 32.6 hitouts 1 goal There's a fairly large difference between the two and they are saying Mac is a top 10 pick. I'm definitely not saying he will be a dud, I'm just pointing out that I think if he goes inside the top 10 it will be a reach from a club and probably due to panic that because of what Jackson has done teams want to rush out to find a ruck/forward.

Training Ground?
This would be awesome for both us and the soccer/rugby sides.

Welcome to Demonland: Taj Woewodin
Ideally after our pick 37.... I still think there's a chance we do some dealing to get that pick into the 20's to make sure.

AFL Season Opener 2022
I personally think the first game of the season should be a GF replay every year, with the previous winner hosting.

He's a heart and soul type player. Just love the way he speaks about his role and the club. Executes his role to perfection.

Welcome to Demonland: Taj Woewodin
I think we will definitely select him in the draft. Just seems to be the type of player we would love, hard working and driven. He will also have plenty of time to develop in the VFL and learn off some fantastic players. I reckon he will be bid on in the 40-60 range and we will then match.
