Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
DistrACTION Jackson replied to stevethemanjordan's topic in Melbourne Demons
Don't try and change STMJ mind on Oscar Mac, there's no point. He could get AA full back and he will still pick out his flaws. He is developing very well and looks like he could be in the top 5-10 tall defenders in the league in a few years time. -
http://www.afl.com.au/video/2017-07-04/blues-or-dees-whose-kids-are-better Interesting little video. I don't know how anyone could possibly think the Blues young guys are better than ours? I think they have got some good potential, but they are seriously carried by their star studded older mids in Murphy, Gibbs & Kreuzer.
-
Fingers crossed that is the team! Could be Tyson also out, in which case I think Trengove or Maynard should come in.
-
Christie Malthouse was trying to say it was as bad as Barry Hall's. That is laughable.
-
The media in general must be bi-polar. Last week they were all writing how we could win the flag. We lose one game and suddenly we are getting ahead of ourselves. I think the only people getting ahead of themselves is the media.

Apparently it's a specific surgery relating to the Plantar Fascitis muscle where they actually cut the tendon to help it repair. Apparently if it doesn't fully tear, it can just continue to be painful and not heal properly.

Looking ahead ... the Path to September
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Diamond_Jim's topic in Melbourne Demons
I have run the ladder predictor with us winning 1 of our next 5 and then the last 3 games and we scrapped into 8th on percentage. Gives me confidence we still have a shot even if we struggle in this next patch with all our injuries. If we somehow beat Carlton this weekend I will be very confident we will make finals. Lose and it will be tough. -
Do you have a video of that? Would love to tag Lloyd in it and give him a serve. These former players really have short memories of some of the thuggish things they did. Leigh Matthews calling for a sin bin. If they had one when he was playing he would never of finished a match on the field! I'm disappointed in Bugg's actions but the media response is just ridiculous. He f'd up and admitted it. Also all the Swans players coming out complaining. Barry Hall's hit was one of the worst in history. The double standards are astonishing.

Idiots. Have done nothing all season and right when the side needs them they f' it up. I liked Kent but in my opinion I'd be happy to see him leave now.

Port Melbourne v Casey Demons
DistrACTION Jackson replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
I can't see us beating Carlton. Especially if Tyson and Viney are both out. We could lose our next 4 and be outside the 8 quite easily. Bit of a disaster the injury list! -
POST MATCH DISCUSSION - Round 15
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Thought Maxy Gawn has really struggled his first two games back. Missing a lot of marks he would usually take. Not concerned as I'm sure he is just a bit rusty, but something I've noticed. -
POST MATCH DISCUSSION - Round 15
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
How good will it be to have Watts, Hogan and Pedo forward and then have Oscar, Frost and Tmac back? Hopefully that happens this year! -
If Hunt is out it would have to be Johnstone in? Trengove is more inside mid and Weid is a KPF so I'd say like for like in the sense Johnstone is quick. I hope Hunt isn't out but I'd love to see how Johnstone goes.

I love that guy

Dees' Rob Jackson and 'The Cage'
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's quite incredible the work that goes into all the planning. That is why it is humorous to see people post on Demonland regarding injuries, such as Brayshaw's concussion. I think the club has got it covered. -
Has David King been reading Demonland?

Neeld would be proud...... hardest team to play against! We did it Mark, we did it. -
MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 15
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think we should go like for like. Therefore, barring no other injuries I'd like to see the following based on recent VFL reports: In: Wagner & Kennedy Out: Salem & Garlett Kennedy always seems to be high in pressure acts judging by the comments and I think this will be important against the Swans. Wagner had a slow start to the season but I think his best is very good. Not in the same class as Salem but a very capable replacement. I'd start Tmac forward and Frost on Buddy. However, I'd be willing to move Omac forward and Tmac back if Buddy was getting on top. Though it will take a team effort to stop his output. B: Jetta OMac Hibberd HB: Lewis Frost Hunt C: Vince Oliver Stretch HF: Petracca TMac ANB F: Kennedy Pederson Hannan R: Gawn Tyson Viney Int: Harmes Wagner Melksham Bugg Still a good enough side to beat the Swans, but it will be tough with consecutive short breaks. I'm tipping Swans by 10 points but I'm confident with the sides new found ability to dig deep we could steal another win here. -
The MRP F'd up here. They should've offered him one week, downgraded to a fine with an early guilty plea. Would've appeased all parties, the ones who think that any intentional hit to the head shouldn't be allowed and the ones who think it was only a small hit.
-
The Eagles are classless. Dirty club with dirty supporters. Hope he gets two for being a tw*t
-
Hahaha brilliant
-
That would be great if he gets two weeks. I don't like the MRP, but I've got a feeling they don't like being challenged and will stand by their decision. The fact is he definitely caught him with an elbow to the face. The level of impact is obviously debatable, but they graded it as low impact anyway. I'm loving all these Eagles fans crying foul about staging when their players are one of the worst offenders.
-
Simpson's comment shows the difference in class between him and Goodwin. When Hogan got rubbed out because of the Carlton Dr's report of a delayed concussion he didn't get involved. The silver lining in all this is that I expect a fired up Clarry against the Swans. 35 touches coming up.
-
I don't recall him 'diving' against North? He copped a hit to the throat from Higgins which really should've been a free kick.
-
Apparently Garry Lyon was saying Clarry should get a $5,000 fine! He is such an attention seeking [censored]. Tim Watson actually disagreed and said he definitely got him on the chin
