Sam Gray
100%. Proven goal kicker and an improvement on Spargo and ANB.

What should our midfield set-up be next season?
I realised after I missed him.... yes 100% Fritsch ahead of Spargo.

Trade Tom McDonald Thread
Can we start the 'Trade Everyone' thread and be done with the club?

What should our midfield set-up be next season?
Assuming everyone is fit for Round 1 and not counting any trade/draft inclusions (other than Langdon): B: Jetta May Lever HB: Kolodjashnij Frost Hibberd C : Langdon Viney Salem HF: VandenBerg T McDonald Petracca F: Spargo Weideman Melksham R: Gawn Oliver Brayshaw Int: Harmes Hore Hannan Jones

Lachie Whitfield
I'd suggest to not bother posting back to Olisik. Posts about us going after senior coaches like Adam Simpson for a 2 IC role and then gets stuck into others for posting far more realistic trade scenarios. He is the Demonland equivalent of Nuffies on AFL pages....

Small forwards - what are our trading and draft options?
The problem is they are hard to get and there's not many available.

Lachie Whitfield
Given the recent article suggesting GWS want in on our pick, this could be the perfect opportunity to go after this guy. He's a free agent next year and if he leaves and the Giant finish a similar position, they may lose him for a pick in this teens. I'd be trying for this year's first rounder and next years for Whitfield. I know there is some risk we finish low next year, but there's also the potential we get back into the top 8 with a better run of injuries and an easier draw. Apparently the Hawks will be applying to the AFL to be allowed to trade their first this year, which they are apparently going to be approved. You just have to show the AFL you know what you are doing with this and they have discretion. If we add this guy onto the wing, along with Langdon and the ball winners of Oliver, Viney, Brayshaw and Harmes in the middle I think we become a premiership favourite again. Here's hoping we ask the question and make a serious play.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
You're banking on Petrucelle getting better which is no guarantee. Plus he has not shown anywhere near enough yet to be swapped for a first round pick. I'd absolutely give a pick in the 20s for him. O even late teens. But not 13, even with a pick back.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Look I'd love to have Petrucelle in our side but there is no way he would be in our best 6-10 players. A general list of players better than him: Gawn May Lever Jetta Salem Oliver Petracca Melksham Fritsch T McDonald Brayshaw Harmes I know we had a bad season but to suggest Petrucelle is better than some o those is ridiculous

Pick 13 for Petruccelle?? Are you mad?

Damien Barrett's scathing assessment of the MFC
So we are the only club with some people married, some unmarried and some young? Spare me

Damien Barrett's scathing assessment of the MFC
And then everyone pulled out and Dusty was left holding his di** I'm not saying it's the same scenario, but he's in contract so we have a season to sort it out.

EJ Whitten Legends Game 2019
What a waste of time. Who gives a f@&*

Damien Barrett's scathing assessment of the MFC
Agreed. Remember Dustin Martin was potentially leaving and then nothing eventuated. Then look what happened. We don't want players controlling decisions, however it's also important they have a voice. It's a fine line.

Damien Barrett's scathing assessment of the MFC
Journos constantly make up stuff and get away with it. Only a week or so ago the rumours were Coniglio was leaving for the Blues, then all of a sudden he signs a 7 year deal to stay at GWS. The fact is they have no idea and use words like 'alleged' or 'according to sources' to make up stuff and put it in an article. They are leaches.

Angus Brayshaw to Fremantle Rumours
No I understand that. I was more saying there's no point trading him unless we are getting a very good player to fill a hole in our list. My preference is to keep it though as I think he can become our second best mid behind Viney. I'd like to see Harmes and Petracca play for mid/forward as both are dynamic, with Brayshaw spending the majority of his time in the middle.

Angus Brayshaw to Fremantle Rumours
I think the only reason you would do it if we could get Hill and Langdon. Other than that I don't see the point unless we need salary cap relief.

Small forwards - what are our trading and draft options?
Some options at other clubs that have been linked to trades are: Shai Bolton, Dan Butler, Sam Gray, Tom Papley, Eddie Betts, Jamie Elliott, McDonald-Tipungwuti & Brandon Matera. My Top 5 from those would be: 1. McDonald-Tipungwuti 2. Tom Papley 3. Shai Bolton 4. Dan Butler 5. Sam Gray Not sure about the state leagues but surely there would be some decent options. Everyone else seems to find them except us.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
Maybe last weekend. But don't forget we had Tom McDonald, Steve May & Neville Jetta all out for the remainder of the year. Those three would take up a bit of salary space.

Nixon Goes Toot
LOL what a mess that bloke is

Splitting Draft Pick 3
This is very much a 'shake the tree and see what falls out' scenario.

Karl Amon
This should say the Saints have been active chasing anyone.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
I think they just have more cash to throw around given retirements and the fact they have a young list.

Hayden Young (Drafted by Fremantle)
100% agree. Add in a couple of electric small forwards and another key forward marking option and we are away. 2020 flag here we come.
