A top rated player will probably slide to 6. If you look at the names. Schache, Weitering, Francis, Parish, Curnow. Outside of the first 2 picks, I think its fairly open after that. Francis and Curnow have been touted to slide, Essendon have been heavily linked to Parish, but we still don't know if that is legit or not. Both Francis and Curnow have massive upside, but that does come with some risk also. KP's don't all make it, sometimes it is safer to pick a mid.

I think he'll eventually make it as a forward. But if he can play midfield, then it adds another string to his bow. You say he is not a midfielder and not a key position player, a lot of people were saying the same thing about Bontempelli. Francis is more athletic than Bontempelli, and he is better overhead.

Yeah I tend to agree. The consensus is that outside of the top 25, there really isn't much at all. Melksham isn't much of a player, it is a bad deal. It is a bad deal even before taking WADA repercussions into account. I highly doubt that trade gets confirmed early in trade week.

Kennedy goes alright, I'd be happy to see him in the red and blue. He can play, I always liked Kennedy, and I was hopeful we picked him up.

I think I read somewhere on big footy that he'd need to be paid near to 700k to ensure band 1 compo. Leunberger will be lucky to pull in 500k. He can consider himself very lucky if any club is silly enough to offer that type of money to an injury riddled - and largely unproven - ruckman.

Given WADA repercussions are hanging over this trade a second round pick shouldn't be mentioned. There is some quality kids around that mark.

Also there has been articles lately suggesting that teams are going cold on Kreuzer. Hopefully our pick isn't compromised. It isn't looking likely. Pick 6 is a reasonable pick to have, I think it offers a bit of bargaining power. Just on PP's, It is hard to make a case for any team to get one. If MFC is the precedent then it would be hard to make an argument for a PP next year as well. The AFL could've handled this better. They are a bit of a mess atm.

I would probably give up a 3rd round pick for Yarran. I wouldn't go beyond that though. I think he is suspect mentally, I am not sold he is capable of succeeding at an AFL level. Sure, he does have the talent, but I don't think he is worth the risk. To my eye, he is an incident waiting to happen. He cannot control himself.

They can have our pick 6 for Hartlett. But I do like the thought of holding onto our second rounder, and hopefully getting a second rounder for Howe. I don't mind the upcoming draft in terms of quality players slipping outside of the first round. I think we could pick up a couple of reasonable mids in the second round.

He would've been under the eye of recruiters this year at Leongatha, as Aaron Heppell also played down at Leongatha this year. I think Heppell alternated between Bendigo Bombers and Leongatha, but mostly played for Leongatha. So Best still would've been in the eye of recruiters this year. Best would still be a good fit for the Dees.

They are all up for trade, Watts, Dunn, Howe, Toumpas. No one is safe, we are an ordinary football team, obviously some tough calls need to be made. I am a massive Jack Watts fan, I think he has a lot of talent, has class, great skills, but he has also had a lot of time to prove his worth. To date, I don't think Watts has proved his worth, I'd be looking to cut loose any player who sits in the potential category, that would be Watts, Toumpas, and to a lesser extent Howe. I would move Howe on for other reasons, I think he is pricing himself out.

Prestia would be a perfect fit our list. Then we could just target leg speed after that. We lack a clearance player the calibre of Prestia.

Salem is hard as nails. He is a great tackler, does all the 1%ers. Viney, Salem and Brayshaw in the guts is a relentless midfield.

I think Salem is the best talent we've had at the club in a long while. I expect he'll tear it up in 2016. The kid has very few flaws in his game, he has just been injured. I think he'll be a standout mid once he gets that chance. Classy, tough, hard at it, well balanced, doesn't rush in, doesn't waste the football, precise kick. I would be shocked if he didn't end up an elite player.
