watched the vid. Still looks a bit awkward kicking and handballing but his work rate around the ground is good and his first couple of steps are definitely more explosive than your run of the mill ruckman.

Didn't dominate the few hitouts they showed like I thought he would (considering how much he gets talked up) and needs to learn to direct his taps better (only the last really went to anyone) if he wants to be a ruckman

I'm not so sure anymore.

We need KP players...and we certainly need at least 1 more ruckman. But I worry. We've taken an athlete who looked great, and without being a born footballer has turned out being just good in Green. Will his athleticism last? Will his skills take a long while to develop?

If he's another O'Hailpin I'd rather we look elsewhere. We don't need more frustration.

That footage is pretty old and does not show how good Naitanui is, Although that footage doesn't show his kicking that is one area that he has improved alot, and his kicking has been very good so far this year, And his taps have been exellent.

He has also grown about 5cm since that video and would be atleat 198cm now.

He is probebly the best ruckman in W.A.F.L and he has only just turned 18.

And one of the reasons his potential is so great is because he hasn't been playing footy for that long, Wich means he has so much improvement left in him

Iv'e said it once and i'll say it again, Passing up on Naitanui would be a HUGE mistake and we would end up regreting it!!.

Nice footage of his SMASHING Kreuzer in the ruck. FREAKISH leap. The thing i like about this kid, is that he is so humble and appears willing to learn. Good attitude for an up and comer.

I am 100% sold on this kid, Naita over Rich for me!

Compared to our current ruckman it looks beyond good and his tackling skills are awesome. Imagine Davey, Wonna and him charging round the field laying takles...

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval.     With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.
