We WILL beat Bulldogs next week

In: Dunn, Whelan, Bate, Rivers, Sylvia, Holland

Out: Weetra, Garland, Buckley, Yze, Miller, ??? (one more, I can't decide but Whelan prob. won't play)

Put money on us next week. Our odds will be astronomical but after the high that Footscray had last week I reckon we will bring them back down to earth.

Why Buckley?

I thought he was great with limited opportunity, he provided the little run that was shown through the day. I would be peeved if he got the boot.

I feel as though we will be just as disappointing as this past week. I have no expectations. I'll be there, but the only people whose expectations matter are the players themselves.

Why Buckley ..why Weetra ? Buckley is still raw..but was trying.. Weetra one of the few al lday to read the ball and effect any spoils or turnovers.. sure he stuffed a few thigs up..but given the day..I'll forgive him them !!

My optimism for my club says we will win, reality should be a cold thing to face on Saturday.

However hopefully we get some players back!!

More likely this though.

In: Dunn, Rivers, Bartram (hopefully) and Sylvia.

(also maybe Frawley)

Out: Weetra, Garland, Wheatley (barely got on) and Miller.

Would like to see Holland come in, maybe Frawley. Yze should have a few weeks at sandy to think about it, as should Davey.

Would like to see Meesen play!!!

Hope our 22 is this, noting I don't think Bate or Whelan will be ready.

Bell Carroll Frawley/Holland

Bruce Rivers Bartram

Sylvia Mclean Moloney

Green Newton Dunn

Robbo Neitz Davey

White Jones Mcdonald

Inter: Buckley, Johnson, Morton, Frawley/Holland

I think some have yet to take on board the idea we are in for a lot of pain this season. There is no point bringing in older players at the expense of getting more games in some of the newbies.

You want Weetra and Bucks to develop...leave them on..their only crime was being raw...not of 'not' trying. !! if they show they dont loook like having "IT"...then replace them.

I couldnt care less if we lose every game this year now.. I will however be truly [censored] off if we have tried to win a handful of meaningless games at he expense of bringing some on.

You also need to be guarded agaisnt makig wholsael changes wek in week out.. as you break what litel tangible harmony may exist. The boys need to get used to playing with each other.

Only those that are truly fit ought get a look in. Otherwise let the shameful buggers make their own restituion!!

We have the MCG advantage over them...

Who plays on Brad Johnson?

You would think Bell would be a good match up wouldn't you?

Or Wheels would be nice

1. Bulldogs do not have a power forward. Yes Welsh and Johnson have kicked our a% throughout time but we have the men to man up on them.

2. Neitz and Newton will not play as bad as they did last week.

3. Bruce, McLean, Sylvia and Jones will be better for the run.

4. Davey will play in the forward line.

5. Sylvia is our new enforcer. He has to be in the middle of the ground, smashing West and Co.

6. Harris is a great spoiler but I would argue Shite under pressure. He will make a lot of spoils which is why Davey and Maric need to be at his feet.

7. Minson is shite. White will kick his arse.

Johnson will worry us..

I seriously believe we have to not worry about winning for a while. We have to change the culture at this club. That has to start by dropping the senior blokes who let us down, and the kids who aren't up to it and not letting them back in until they have earnt it. Give anyone a run, I don't care, just don't let blokes continue to get selected when they are not having a crack and/or are not up to it. Just dropping Yze and Weetra etc is not enough. The axe must be swung, and we will continue to be belted, but even by the end of this season we would have noticed a change in the way players are going about it when selected.

I would be happy to see a number of White, Yze, Miller, Carroll, Davey, Bruce, Wheatley and Robbo dropped and also Petterd, Bell, Garland, Buckley and Newton

Obviously that's 13 and too many but I want to see 7 or 8 of them gone

We are obviously not going to win the flag so who gives a rat's about the 4 points this week? Short term pain long term gain

Good move, drop our only really quick, defensive forward and freakish goalkicker after one average game.

He did not want a bar of it on Sunday, you could see it - that should be grounds for dismissal for any player at any club at any time

Ok delist Davey now. Did you see the Essendon game? Do you know what destroyed the Roos, the pace of their Aboriginal players. Yes, lets dump our good one.

Not really. Try Sportsbet (Darwin) @ $2.95 and Ozbet (WA) @ $3.00. I for one shan't be tempted.

Serious!? I though we would be paying at least $4.50!

    BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury. LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres

Originally an NBL basketballer with the Brisbane Bullets, he moved across town in 2019 to the AFL Lions where he played 19 games before crossing to Melbourne where he was expected to fill a role as a back up ruckman/key forward.
