CARN THE DEES!

Recommended Posts

Interesting interview, however the Dean Bailey interview next to it impressed me more.

I'd never seen him interviewed before and he really sounds a lot like one K. Sheedy and even speaks in the same way. Had a good demenour about him and if he turns out like Sheeds, or hell even better I'll be mighty impressed!

Jared is almost KPP size... Morton will still grow a bit.

Hey Riv, his name is Cale not Carl :)

I think it's actually pronounced that way. I'm sure they were saying it like that (as 'Carl') at the U18 Championships. Seems daft, I agree.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was Cale "kay-el", but Rivers, like 90% of Australian males, has terribly lazy speech. When I say it out loud it comes out sounding kinda like "Carl" too.

It's like "torlet" and "Austraya".

HAHA this is correct.

It's Cay-el.

Still laughing at torlet...

Bugger the idea of him being an outside midfielder, the boy should start muscling up to take on the challenge of being the next big CHF for Melbourne. Could be exciting. He just needs to put on 10-15 kg. He could even be the long term answer to replace Neita at FF. The kid has an accurate kick, good height and excellent stamina. Hope he turns out to be the goods and has luck with injuries.

It's an idea, but in his first year I'd like to see him tried in a variety of positions (as I'm sure he will be). Let's wait and see if Juice and Bate are able to stand up as key position forwards before making a decision as to where Cale will be best suited.

But I must admit, his stamina and athleticism could be utilised well as a CHF.

Yep points taken. I just started getting a little excited when I saw the size of the kid standing next to Rivers. He could turn out to be weight-gain-a-phobic like a certain recent delistee, in which case I'd be happy if he turned into the next Cam Bruce for us but with a decent kick on him.

10-15 kgs of muscle will take 3-4 years to stack on however...

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
