  1. is this another case of a talented and Melbourne listed player just being absorbed into the ether? what a waste... GET OUT ON THE FIELD AND PLAY THE BEST FOOTY YOU CAN FOR F$$K SAKE LYNDEN.
  2. we need a ruckman? we have: white (I know probably last year or two) jamar johnson meeson we need another one? I'm gonna put some faith into Meeson being our number 1 very soon, for the lifetime of his remaining career. We definately need a FF, and another gun midfielder wouldn't go astray. Judd would have helped, but we all know what happened there.
  3. I like these changes! I think Robertson and Davey are in the same boat however. Both need to be told to 'WAKE THE f%*# UP!'
  4. I can't believe that about PJ, we've waited years for him to do something! This will be a real test for him, (not to mention my faith) if he can come back and start exactly from where he left off. Does this mean Meeson will come in and play his role?
  5. I'm sorry but I've been overseas for the past month so haven't seen any footage, but surely after two 90+ point thrashings someone can point out some MAJOR fundamentals that are wrong, or aren't working, e.g. I read handballing is high on his agenda. From my experience in teams not highly skilled this is just fundamentally WRONG, and will not work, a la when Neil Balme came in. Although in having said that I know Geelong handball almost as much as they kick. Is it just a lack of skills on our behalf?
  6. I hope he's giving the boys more than, 'let's just be competitive boys. Ok, let's go.' How does everyone think he's game plan, selection, etc. has been so far?
  7. Collingwood Essendon Collingwood Essendon Sydney
  8. agreed I also suspect that the previous coach failed to adequately communicate these shortcomings, or simply chose to put up with them. -- I think the former
  9. gees they looked like donkeys looking down at the ground all the time reading from their 'cue-cards'
  10. i hope this is the case. got no time for trying to rejuvinate someones ailing career while we're trying to win a premiership
  11. i know you wanted a constructive debate, but the only response to this i can think of is, NO THANKS!
  12. daniher tried him forward, he was crap, very little return in terms of goals. a great mark, and a great kick. in having said that, he shold be on the FF
  13. it seems that everyone can only remember travis figuring in one game, the 2002 semi final. i hope that doesn't sum his whole time up at melbourne... not sure why we really wanted just to swap him for pick 14? bailey must be looking for specific stock other than those extremely silky outside midfielders, i would have thought we lacked those types? only time will tell.
  14. yep after reading a few posts here...people have convinced me he might be worth hanging on to. neale had a lot of faith in him, it can't have been entirely wrong. let's see what bailey can do with him.
  15. not sure we need buchanon, we have enough of those types. maybe a lewis-roberts?...not sure who else we'd want from them, maybe offer a pick and get Jolly?
  16. no, it's just a fact that Bartel is awesome.
  17. not sure what games you're watching Yze_Magic, but in case you didn't know they won 18 games, and Bartel was a major, MAJOR reason for that. A dominating player, awesome to watch, I thought he had a much greater impact on their games than Ablett did, (in the games that I watched) and he is a very worthy winner indeed! Woewodin, who's he?
  18. PLEASE don't say things like this, you sound like a bummers supporter. There was NOTHING to dislike about Neale, and to turn on him after he's left is pathetic!
  19. if jeff white gets up there it's a disgrace, he's as soft as butter, and is not even effective with his hitouts. the only kicks he gets are sideways anyway. i think jones deserves it, but am expecting a close one between he and junior. green to be third, has had some great games.
  20. It's really hard to know if this was the right the decision obviously. But I think the decision must have been based on his recent success with PA and Essendon. He is an absolute unknown, and it was therefore seen that the most important thing wasn't just to get a coach that could raise our profile, i.e. Sheedy. This I am assuming is a focus to make this current team successful, so from that perspective, the decision is indeed the correct one! Sheedy would have been invaluable for us in terms of marketing, and building a stonger more visible brand amongst the football community, I was hoping (if hired) he could weed out some of the 'soft' insipid footballers and just make us generally stronger and more competitive in terms of our culture. I thought he could have served a purpose, but unfortunately I think his record in the last 6 years has been appaling, and was probably the determining factor. Not sure really if Bailey has any clue, just because I don't know what sort of role he plays at PA, and what sort of game plan PA has besides, 'pass it to the Corne's brothers'. Will be interesting, and more importantly integral to my faith in this club, and knowing they are capable of making correct decisions for the success of this club. Such a hard decision to make, I think honestly the coaching job is quite overrated, but still important. I wish him well, and let's hope the Dees can get back to where they belong!!! C'mon Bailey, show us some passion! p.s. sorry for any spelling mistakes, typing fast
  21. i agree totally, i was very frustrated sorrounded by loud and ugly collingwood supporters and tried to voice myself but did struggle. i can't believe they were booeing neitz like that, i at least drowned out the guys in front of me, but in attendance we were outnumbered 10-1, that in itself deserves being booed, plus i think they were upset set about his non-handshake to maxwell, (who cares?) i feel this same frustration at many games i go to, and wish like you whitito that we could be a bit louder, and PASSIONATE!
