Let's just remember that ND told Miller to change his ways about 2 years ago and since then has done [censored]. He is a great mark with football brains under the right coach will fly.

Daniher you left and your love child TJ has too and about time.

Sorry TJ even though you're family you know it had to come!

Impossible to say.

daniher was everyone's love child by the year 2000 when we made the grand final. He actually brought an expectation of real success, but proof is in the pudding as they say. 7 years later and no-one is happy.

I gunned for Sheedy, but have really liked Baileys attitude. Unlike Riley he 'gets it' and has to develop the best young talent he can get to the club.

I love the fact we traded Johnstone for a first rounder, and love his attitude to development. Only thing I disagreed on was signing up Miller instead of swapping him for whatever we could get.

Actually for someone who drew a line through the poor kicks at the club, it was even more surprising he likes Miller.

Time will tell - I like what I see but lets see if he can develop some serious professionalism into blokes like Sylvia. Lets see if he can possibly make Green more consistent and not go missing when it counts.

Let's see if he can shut up Green and Robbo from talking up the dees after they win two games in a row. In fact thats what I really hate about Melbourne, accepting we are so good after just a string of wins.

My answer is lets see if he has the balls to play youngsters consistently and can develop some stars of the future.

Lets hope he can.

I don't think he was his love child.

I spoke to Neale two days ago and asked him what he thought of TJ and he said he was prety hard to handle.

I then asked if he would of got rid of him and he said when his contract expired if he hadn't changed then he would have.

Sorry to bring it up again but the question stands is no 7 the new love child.

Bailey said they tried to trade him to Sydney, I think for a pick 8, or something very close to that... gee what a surprise that was knocked back. Should have traded him for anything they could get - could you believe how he just cannoned into the back of CJ in that pack on Saturday? Not only is it a cardinal sin to wreck your own teammates but it was a situation where we had the numbers and should have been easily taking the footy from an opposition clearance and pumping it back inside 50. BM just charged in from nowhere, smashed CJ and lost us the footy. Unbelievable. This was pretty much his only contribution for the day. One of the worst players to have played 90+ games I have ever seen.

Agreed i was at that game and that is what i am on about.

He will be the new love child of bailly just like BIG AL was with nd.

You cannot win flags with love childs in your side just look at the modern teams that have won a flag.

Bailey inherited a list devoid of KPP options. He needs Miller to plug holes until younger options develop. Time will tell if Miller is Bails' pet project but I think he's trying to inject some confidence to make him servicable until Frawley, Martin or someone else steps up

Thanks Maurie for injection some form of interest and information in this thread.

Its a symbol of the ignorance of the typical supporter when they have to adopt thelove child to justify selections of players.

By the way, Schtaker, the Swans offered a fourth round pick for Miller not pick 8! There is no way Miller is worth more than a 4th round at best and there is further no way MFC would have knocked back a first round pick for an at best fringe player. Given your low regard for Miller would not the myth of the Swans offering such a high pick have seemed questionable?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
