I hate our current away strip.

I think the Vee is Melbourne, since the Swans took the Opera House bite out of their's we're the only ones with it. It's prominent in the new logo and it's being emphasised in the "M". I think the clash strip should be based on the Vee - just reverse the colours and play with red shorts, you can even go navy blue socks if you like - that wont clash with Essendon or Carlton.

Did South Melbourne have a filled in V? I seem to remember them with a white jumper with a red V not filled in as ours is.

I hate the royal blue,

A friend of mine still wears her royal blue scarf and i told her this year its bad luck and has to go!

South use to have a red V not a yoke as we do, that changed to a yoke with opera house missing from it when they became sydney.

Correct. Sydney filled it in and took the opera house bite out.

Didn't also at one time South Melbourne have a red sash across a white guernsey? (Like the Richmond and Essendon guernsey)

Royal blue NEVER Again

An alternative strip was suggested with this design discussed late last year to this year in feb

not too bad as an alternative

I guess now with the new logo this one is being phased out? So maybe not this strip.

Royal blue epitomises what is crap about this club. I think we need to move forward i.e. get a new design altogether not go back to a time long gone now.

Horrible luck?

Superstitious. Stupid to go by that.

The royal blue looks ok.

There are a few things we could do.

Baby Blue

Mainly Red

Current jumper (switched colours)

current alternative but pink (for the whole breast cancer thing.)

etc etc etc. In all seriousness. It doesn't matter!!!!!

Put the boys in green, yeelow or orange for all I care. Just win.

I'm with you - don't really care all that much. Just stop changing as every change cost $$$$$?

I like the idea of something like this:

dees.jpg

Emphasise the "M" for "Melbourne" as well as providing an alternative that keeps the traditional idea concept of the jumper.

Excuse crap Paint skills.

i think that is a good idea if it was designed well and the yolk was brought further down to make the jumper predominantly red

Rolling, That is the best clash strip Ive yet seen.

Our alternate strip is fine

It means nothing, so long as we wear it when there's a clash, and as long as we keep playing footy and winning, rather than worrying about what we look like.

And there is no demon on the current Alternate strip. its the wavy M thats on top ofour current logo

as an away strip i have no problems with becoming more imaginative. Our home team strip is sacrosanct.. but the away /clash can offer up opportunities. Not advocating selling out to M and M lol.. Other codes embrace this ...we are very stuck in the mud at times.

yeah but tom, we are getting rid of the demon logo so we will also get rid of the "m" on the alternative strip. the club are looking at having a new design for next year and it would be better if it was a good design...i like the pennant hills one without the demon in the middle. that would be great!

Do some of these still clash? Hard to say w/o seeing them live.

I had a bit of time to waste...

the white one is similar to (if i remember correctly, which i prob don't) what dandenong wore, a white jumper with a red and blue V, i dont mind that except for the stripes that come down of it.

I wouldnt mind something about 150th year being there maybe a nice cursive 150 under the M we already have that would work well. Nobody will probably think of what im thinking of but trust me it looks good in my mind

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
