I have no love for Collingwood.. they are of course our most hated of enemies !! But as a player I respect Buckley. Sure he's human and stuffed up on ocasions but he , as a week in week out performer is/was very very good.

He would have some outstanding abilities to pass on to any group but I think he'l lall but walk straight into some sort of role with the filth; though if he was truly smart he start his post player career at another club. Id take him.

He has stated in the past that ideally he would have coaching experience away from Collingwood. If Bailey could persuade him to become Asst coach at Melbourne, anything would be achievable.

Believe or not, I don't mind him - simply because he was an outstanding footballer.

Although he may seem a little arrogant, hes nothing compared to the likes of Akermanis, Cousins, or Crawford

FIGJAM = Financially Inspired Gee Judds A Mercenary

An absolutely sensational player - rated him in the top few players of the last 20 years. Every bit as good as blokes like Harvey and Riccuito and probably just below Carey and Hird because of their flags. He started out as FIGJAM and became a statesman. Well done on a great career, Bucks, but I'm not sorry you didn't get that flag!

I believe he was a Melbourne supporter as a kid (like someone else we know eh!)

I don't think he'd be a bad pickup as a coach because he does know his football!!!

Didn't mind Bucks, buut yeah, was abit up himself. Buts still, the game lost a legend today, I'm sure we can all admit that.

Didn't mind him, much better than the present scumbag champions like Judd, Franklin.

I am at a loss as to how they're going to fill all these regular slots on the footy show with Figjam, Hird, Archer, etc. retiring. Hint Paul Gardner; get Lyon on the line and tee Robbo or one of our more media savvy chumps up as a regular. Lord knows our club needs the exposure.

Hopefully he won't have his image plastered over the

back of the sports section in 2008.

I'm heartily sick of Collingwood and their heavily weighted

publicity machine.

Please spare us. After the first seven weeks one year, the

Herald Sun had them winning the Coleman Medal, the

Brownlow and the Premiership...and none of that promise

came to pass. Bwahahahaha

Good luck to Bucks as they call him.

I don't want him near the club when there's sharper football

brains around like Gary O'Donnell. Now there's someone

who knows about the hard yards.

Why would you train a Collingwood apprentice?

Can we just let this quietly slip off the front page and forget it ever happened?

I still love the irony of him leaving Brisbane to play for Collingwood and Brisbane end up winning 3 premierships...he was a very good player in a reasonable side...he could have been a great player in a great side...I take great pleasure in reminding Collingwood supporters of this....I sleep very easily at night knowing this!!

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
