apart from juddy it'd be nice to have the twig around too :)

Oh yeah! Forgot about her

Nah but I think we, as avid Melbourne supporters, should all offer something for Chris Judd.

The 'Bring Chris Home' Appeal.

From a groin to a home, everything is welcome.

Pick 4, Robbo, CJ, Jeff White and Bruce. That's what would get Judd here, financially and by what WC would want.

It won't come down to an auction between clubs. Judd will chose the club he wants to go to and that club will then have to work with the Eagles to secure the trade. It won't matter what Carlton can offer if Judd doesn't want to play there.

I think the chance to slip straight into the Dees as maybe co-captain with Neita, wearing No 3 and with a new coach playing on the MCG would be very attractive to Judd, particularly if we could satisfy his monetary arrangements. Some may see this as sentimentality - but no other player in recent memory has attracted as much attention about his past allegiances as Judd. He's discussed captaining the Dees, he's attended training... the man still burns a candle.. let's get him.

I have a feeling he will nominate 2 clubs, or 3 at the very most, and that Melbourne will be one of them. I agree that wearing number 3, new coach and MCG is attractive to him.

Yeah right

And when was this?

Some time ago he was rumoured to have attended a Demons training session at Sandringham. I don't know who saw him and am not sure if they still post. And if true I wouldn't read too much into it anyway. It was supposedly about 3 years ago.

Well I can guarantee you it never happened

Unless it was more like 6 years ago before he was drafted

His family live in Sandringham, so it may have been an impromptu look.

Why do you guarantee it didn't happen ? But I agree, it matters not.

Cos it just seems insane that he would attend a Demons training session

But anyways, no big deal

ummm i think ur abit lost mate...

soo we already have 7 spots on our list.... we lose our pick 4 robbo cj white bruce and gain judd

so now we have 10 spots .. and our first pick in the draft isss?

not going to happen

My trade:

robertson to western bulldogs

farren ray and pick 4 to WCE

Judd to Melbourne

Not enough mate (for WCE). And does that moot Robbo for Farren Ray? I think we'd be onto a loser there.

Gunna need at least a top player on top of that.

i live in perth and alot of my mates or WCE supporters and while they are unhappy to see judd go, they reckon pick 4 and one of robertson, ray, bruce, johnstone, davey for judd is a fair deal

Fair enough mate, but would you really rate Ray as highly as any of those other blokes? I know he's young, but for me he doesn't show enough to be as valuable as any of the senior players we could put up for trade.

Would be funny if we landed Ray in the RObertson trade

That would give us 3 of the top 5 picks in the 2003 draft

1. Adam Cooney

2. Andrew Walker

3. Colin Sylvia

4. Farren Ray

5. Brock McLean

i thought the exact same thing when i saw your team for 2008

you are probably right about ray i'll concede that but do you see the others as viable options

I think we've established that Bruce is out of the equation, given that he's about to get married, and a Melbourne boy, who's just signed a new deal. He won't want to go, so he won't.

I think Robbo or Davey is our best chance. WCE's only real deficiency is in the small forward stakes.

This all feels very horrible. Throwing players that we have cheered on around like meat. Still, I would give two or three Lamb Chops for that Prime piece of Porterhouse Steak that is Judd ;)

Only one thing is certain about this, for me; Judd will move in Trade Week. West Coast will get hung, drawn and quartered if they fail to get some compensation for him.

Posted

Hypothetically speaking if judd said he wanted to be traded to the dees and only the dees, could he tell the west coast that if they do not agree with melbournes offer that he will go into the PSD

i am assumeing that he can refuse offers from other clubs ie carlton collingwood as he is out of contact

Chris Judd quite simply can please himself. He doesnt have to agree to anything. Its a supply demand thing.. One of him.. versus many clubs salivating at the prospect. WCE either agree to let him go to where he likes and make some sort of fist of it...or lose entirely. Wouldnt that be a real shame hehehehhe

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
