Its time for Gary Lyon to give something back to the club that gave him everything he has

Well, we all know Chris Judd grew up idolising the Demons, and in particular our amazing skipper, Garry Lyon

Apparently, Chris wore the number 3 cos of Gary (I think thats true, can anyone confirm?)

Lyon is smitten with Judd. Judd respects Gary. So what role can Lyon play in getting Judd to the MFC?

I am pretty sure Chris Connolly will be on the phone to his mate Gary Lyon as I type this, asking him to meet with Juddy. Perhaps Connolly will be at the meeting as well.

Who knows?

Either way, I think we have every resource at our disposal to get Judd to the MFC.

I wish you'd stop hanging it on Lyon every chance you get as if he owes the club anything at all. He doesn't.

That said, if a phone call from him would make any difference at all in getting Judd here then I hope it happens. I seriously doubt it would make any difference at all though.

How could Gary not owe the club anything?

He wouldn't have made any name for himself in the media and the like unless he'd been a footballer, which he was at Melbourne.

IMO I think any person that is given an opportunity (for some, the opportunity of a lifetime) to do something, they then owe that person at least something, and if it's a persuasive phone call in this case, then so be it.

With Bizzell retiring, the number 3 jumper is now available! Who knows - could well be fate?!

I agree when you saying that Lyon may have influence in getting him to Melbourne (which won't happen). He seems to be the character that everyone loves. I'm sure many of you remember when Farmer almost left Melbourne to return to Perth and Lyon was apparently the main figure in getting him back. I have no doubt that had Lyon had more influence with Melbourne at the time of his depature he may not have even left (Farmer).

In saying that, Judd won't be at Melbourne next year or ever, unless he makes it clear he only wants to play for us. I have a feeling the guy knows where his loyalty lies and it is killing him to say he wants to come home. I think it is possible he will come out and say he wants to play for us, and I don't think he would choose Carlton on Collingwood over us to be honest.

Lyon can choose what he wants to do. U people make me sick. He loves the club but he doesent have to involved in it for the rest of his life

I'm loving the idea of a Lyon / Judd combination on the Footy Show, similar to the Eddie / Bucks combo the Pies used to have!

It could become the MFC Footy Show!

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
