Which draftee do you like?

Palmer wont be that good. One good game in the championships doesn't mean you'll turn out a superstar - Fergus Watts. Palmer doesn't seem to have any strengths that will dominate at AFL level; not the tall, big, quick, exceptional disposal etc.

Definately will be drafted but i dont think is worthy of using the dees number 4 pick on.

You obviously didnt watch him play.

He will be a star.

He kicked 9 goals in his three games, was BOG twice and won MVP.

i know we have lots of tall forwards, but if we could draft one who is like franklin i would take it in a second. newton looks ok. bate looks ok, dunn looks ok. franklin kicks goals and wins games. we need that.

other wise i would take high quality key defender, midfield pace, ruckman, in that order. i still think the best option with ruckmen is to develop them off the rookie list. unless they are a star (who will go number 1) rucks are too much of a risk.

I have been looking at our list and I still see a big hole down back. In past posts I have said lets get a fast midfielder, but I am leaning towards Rance as a 194cm quick defender. That would give us Frawley at 193cm, River 192cm and Rance three good size defenders with Bell, Bartram and Petterd not a bad back six for the future.. I still think we need speed in our midfield, but IMO our best midfielders fit are good enough for the next couple of years. Hopefully CAC can get a ruckman and speed with our later picks.

"Frawley at 193cm, River 192cm, Carroll 192cm and Rance."

I sort of agree 'dr' but what I'd like to see is us (if available recruit a big 196 cm + 90kg+ KPP) like a Henderson, who we could train to play back or forward as needs. Could play on gorillas or be damaging up front to assist our regular forwards, this would allow us to rotate our attack around when we like, disrupting the opp' defence.

We still need to recruit a fast leading one grab mark as well to take over from neita, this is not Newton as he is way too valuable as a forward who can play a number of different roles in the front half.

The boy Kreuzer's season is over. The Northern Knights lost today to the Calder Cannons at MC Labour Park. Murray Bushrangers leading North Ballarat early in second half.

Does anyone know if the gf is being televised this year?

Apparently Cotchin has done his ankle, reports are that it's fairly serious.

Hey guys, i actually played juniour footy with Palmer and against Masten. The reason why it seems palmer has only just started getting big possies and kicking goals is that the last two years and especially juniour footy he was heavily tagged and attacked by the opposition and because of this has been playing with alot of niggly injuries. Palmer can run and carry but he also gets in and under the packs, his only problems are that sometimes his disposals let him down, and like sylvia likes to get on the [censored] and party hard. Masten in comparrison is not as fast or as big a possesion getter but he is more cosistant, has better disposal and shows better leadership qualities.

Interesting about Palmer. If he comes to Melbourne he will have a soul mate in Colin - they even look alike!

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
