I must admit I do kind of like the idea of one of the Scott boys.

One of them is at Collingwood now, and the other one has just retired from Brisbane. Right?

Yep, like the hawks, if we want to instill a tough rugged mentality, then we need to surround the players with that type of encouragement.

Brad Scott is at Collingwood and apparently highly regarded. Chris has just retired and was very impressive on the radio with KB yesterday. Might be worth having a talk to him.

Viney isn't leaving Hawthorn anytime soon imo. Considering he has an ex-team mate at the helm of the club he probably has more on offer for him there and while I don't judge his passion for the MFC, he wanted to be here, he would be.

I'd like to see more of our boys back @ this once great club, ones that have experienced time @ other more successfull AFL clubs, Steven Tingay could be one.

This Club has not been great since 1964.

I am at loss at why we need to have more ex MFC players back in coaching/ football department roles.

Every footy department appointment should be done on the candidates attributes, experience and performance. The fact that he previously played at MFC may actually be more of a hinderance than a benefit given this Club's lack of success and questionable culture.

The inference that an ex MFC player would have more passion for a footy department job than a non MFC ex AFL player is a fantasy.

    The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter.
