Let's forget the drivel about tanking because quite frankly, it's hard to tank when you're so limited with your playing list.

What is our team going to look like after selection tomorrow night?

From last week's side, it looks as though David Neitz and Colin Sylvia will be the outs with injury. Matthew Bate should come back from his corked thigh along with Clint Bizzell for his last game.

I can't see any of the players listed down as "tests" coming up this week although, if James Frawley's ankle is OK I think he should play at Sandy where he can replace Chris Lamb and get some valuable experience in a finals game.

That said, the selectors have an easy job this week:

In: Bate Bizzell

Out Neitz (knee) Sylvia (hip flexor)

The team should be good enough to dispose of a disinterested Carlton.

out: robbo and anyone else carrying some sort of slight injury

But we don't have the balls to do this. It's a shame.

I don't care who is in and out, so long as Carroll plays full forward, Robbo full back and Bode in the ruck.

I heard yesterday that Newton won't be playing either, so you could possibly scratch him, Robbo needs to be rested, tell him to not play, if he buggers his knee i will be sooooooooooo [censored] off.

I am concerned with all this discussion.

Has anyone thought about the importance that Sandy must field the best combination available with selecting the best of Melbourne players eligible they must be fully supported in the quest for a flag.

I would let Fergy, Jamar, Chris Johnson, Pickett, Frawley, Bode, Buckley and Ward all play for Sandy.

Who cares if Melbourne win lose or whatever the season is over?

Good luck to Sandy, let's get right behind them!

HAHA deadset all this tanking is [censored] up my dreamteam. I have newton covering for both fev and davey, and jmac is out, and now scotland is doubtful! No trades left I'd be well and truly farked if all these players don't get up...

Melbourne is no.1 priority champ, I really couldn't care less about sandy other then our youth who are playing for them.

That's true. I couldn't give the slightest.

I go see the Dees - Not the Zebras...

Yeah give Neville the joy of playing his 1 and only AFL game!

Just like Mark Austin for the Blues. Ratten has said he wants to try out everyone on his list to know where they are at. We should do the same: in Weetra, Neville and Garland.

I would do it like this:

in: four injured players

out: four fit players (would exclude Pickett from that category!)

:D

Not sure they allow wheelchairs on the ground during play Rhino..... B)

Robbo will play, kick 10, get signed to a 3 year deal and do his knee in round 4 next year.

Of course I hope that doesn't happen but it probably sounds just like an MFC script.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
