Voss vs Ego

So, what was that all about, I reckon Michael needed to feed his massive ego. Had no coaching qualifications other than a huge EGO!

Now will go back to the media for another 12 months to sort out his thoughts!

How about Michael, if you are serious, try to learn the game thro the system, of your ego can acommodate that.

You have lost all credibility in the last two weeks..... pity you didn't go to Carlton, you belong!!!

The chain of events with Voss have been strange - one minute he's rearing to go, hints he's got all the necessarry people on board and nothing can stop him. Next he's not 100% sure if this is for him and he pulls the pin.

And then he's banging on about how he called all four clubs so they could get on with their processes. The world ain't stopping bc of you, Vossy.

Stoked he didn't come to Melbourne, no thanks to untried goods.

Voss, you will never coach, you have given yourself away, gutless and media hungry and enjoying the $$$ Carlton is where you should have gone, there's still Eddie you know!!!

laughable.

The man takes stock of himslef. Rationalises things in the cold hard light of day. Comes to a decision that maybe nows not the time...and you lampoon him!!

He didnt get to where he is by being a dill.

Hope you are all as good at weighing up reality...good luck folks !!

Micheal Voss is not a dirty word!

I admit that I was one of those who initially had a good feel about Voss as a potential coach. However, the way in which he has come across in the past month has left me with my doubts. On TV yesterday he said he made his decision after consultation with his wife who apparently had the final say.

Thankfully, we didn't appoint him as coach of the MFC. I can visualise the scene in the coaches box during the game. He lifts the phone, dials a number and says. "Sweetie, it's me. Do I move Travis on the ball or does he stay on a flank?"

Michael Voss's apparent ego problems rank nowhere compared to the flatulent blasts from all knowing posters who have jumped all the MFC coaching selection process and stated that we should just get Voss without even an iota of understanding of where the person is at.

They must be squeezing tightly under a rock at the moment.

I think Voss has a number of things to deal with over the next couple of months. For all the bravado from "those apparently in the know" Voss lack of maturity as ably caught on video must be gnawing at the chap himself.

Now on with the hyberbole and mistruth about Sheedy.

Don't forget the role the media has played in the hype. Voss has been questioned after each sacking and in my opinion has been as honest as he could. Its just that he is in a different state of mind now. No crime there.

By the way, if I had captained three premierships, won a brownlow and was being talked about as a future AFL coach by many experts I would struggle to not have a bit of an ego.

You're on fire this week bub. Completely agree, good post.

I NEVER wanted him as our coach. I'm glad he's come to his senses, because i was really worried that we'd go hard for him. But the funny thing is that now instead of going into full commitment role of going for a coaching job, he's decided he will review his decision after another 12 months in the media. IF YOU WANT TO BECOME A COACH, THAN TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT EVERYONE ELSE HAS DONE AND LEARN THE ROPES AS AN ASSISTANT!

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
