  1. Screw Port, especially Warren Tredrea (take another bow you tool). The town of Geelong needs a lift, they've gone through a lot over the years - from footy failings to the Pyramid collapse, and they've been by far the best team all year. Carn cats.
  2. I think Jonesy tries to spin out of trouble a bit too often and this is where he often gets caught. But he will get his head around this in time. Don't think he's diving, it's all attack and then a heap of lugs sit on him, and far too often now the attacker is getting penalised. As far as tappering off goes, well he's 19, so the body is still young and he's playing in positions where you really have to bust ya gut. Reckon he'll have a solid pre-season and his general fitness will continue to improve. I love him, love his endevour and love his bald nugget.
  3. I have no issue with footy players going out, I don't expect them to be holed up in the their homes 24/7. But there are ways to behave and they can't be going out getting [censored] or getting in fights. Col's accepted his fat pay cheques, which makes him different to the average 21 y.o, and the responsibilities that go along with this also need to be accepted.
  4. I find this all pretty disappointing. The kid has talent to burn, but maybe not the drive/focus at the moment. Was it Brock saying a couple of years ago that he went on a fishing trip with him and he was staggered by the amount of grog him and his mates could put away? Col obviously has a liking for the booze and these incidences are already too frequent.
  5. I seriously doubt many even saw that incident and Neitz is well within his right not to shake hands - the man was pumped, massive game for him, no need for nicities. Hand shakes are for after the match.
  6. tend to agree with you, however there's still reason to hate them - firstly the feral scums booo a 300 gamer for no apparent reason other than they are a pack of complete imbociles who don't have the mental capacity to grasp a significant occasion. The bitching and whining throughout the match almost made me want to hurl myself from the third level of the southern stand and lastly outside the ground at the city end, there was this pack of around 20-30 approx of them, with joffa in the middle, in his sparkling gold jacket unleashing this massive chant. It all seemed a bit mob mentality/lord of the flies like, if a stray Demon had wandered past I fear they might have been set upon and it was a way over the top celebration considering the nature of the game.
  7. I'm packing the hankies - win, lose or draw there's going to be tears. What a man, would try if his legs were cut off. Love 'ya Neita
  8. yeah i emailed, but not to worry, i'll send you one through and i can get onto payment.
  9. so you've paid then? how did you pay? im sure it's just a mistake, but i would still like to kick in if possible.
  10. The chain of events with Voss have been strange - one minute he's rearing to go, hints he's got all the necessarry people on board and nothing can stop him. Next he's not 100% sure if this is for him and he pulls the pin. And then he's banging on about how he called all four clubs so they could get on with their processes. The world ain't stopping bc of you, Vossy. Stoked he didn't come to Melbourne, no thanks to untried goods.
  11. Just wondering what the go is with the hand over of the Newton money pledged - I emailed - can't remember his posting name - regarding receiving details of where to send the money to, but haven't heard anything back. Has the cash been sent to the club? Do I still have time to get my money in? I want to pay.
  12. totally and utterly selfish act and un-australian too - weddings, reunions, birthdays, engagements of any sort should be banned during the month of september.
  13. definitely not worth the risk. what is farmer now? 30, he ain't got much left in him.
  14. I remember thinking what the hell is he doing there too. Who was meant to be on the mark though and if PJ had stayed on it would have his man run on and received the pass anyways? You were yelling? Good on you bc there was none of it going on near me.
  15. Well said. Geelong were a joke last year and there's not an awful lot that's different about them this year other than Joel Selwood (awesome player, but still... not the sole reason for their turn around). They got into their pre-season early, didn't start that well, but now seem unbeatable. And all players are playing like they can't be beaten, that belief goes a hell of a long way and luck with injuries does too. Take a few KPP players out of the cats line up in a Mooney or an Ablett and maybe things wouldn't be going so smoothly. In saying that tho, Scarlett was missing Fri and they didn't look like they missed him, their defece is rock solid. The cats gave their coach and several of their players another crack and it's paid dividends. We'll start our pre-season early, hopefully get some good recruits and get key players bk, so there's no reason why we can't have a turn in form next year.
  16. Cats for me. My significant other is geelong and it's taken me up until a few weeks ago to say, yes i hope they win. Prior I was bitter and twisted and couldn't handle the thought that he might potentially win it. Im still going to be insanely jealous, but I've realised his happiness is important too. Loved seeing west coast get pantsed yesterday, that was quality.
  17. despite the wiz's manya downfalls, i really do miss him a lot and he'll always have a special place in my heart. where was neitz predominantly playing in 2000?
  18. It is common for the Aboriginal players to be a bit up and down. I can't think of one who is truely consistent? We just have to accept it, the times Davey is on, will well outweigh the times he is a little off. We can't expect Brad Johnson type consistency from Davey, but we can expect consistent flashes of brilliance, and that sits well with me.
  19. Exactly, this incident says a lot about the company Voss choses to keep and clearly this is something he needs to have a good hard look at. And I also agree that the Prince is an alright establishment, especially on a sunny arvo when you can sit out the front (away from flying pool balls) and watch the world/freaks go by.
  20. ok, so if Voss gets the job - avoid establishments such as the Prince of Wales, not the most high end place going around and avoid hanging out with the likes of Gehig's and avoid Steven Lawrence. Time to grow up Vossi.
  21. He was alright yesterday and grew a bit as the game went on, hopefully with more game time he'll continue to improve. But he deserves more of a chance that a lot of people are willing to see him get. I went down the rooms after the match and noticed cj was sitting by himself, while the rest of the players were in several groups chatting amongst themselves. Felt a bit sorry for the kid all on his lonsome, until rivers came up and gave him someone to talk to.
  22. I agree with most sentiments on here that Milller was ok, however why is he scared to kick the ball? I remember one passage when he was faced with a pack of Blues and rather than send the ball long he hand passes it to a man under pressure and it's turned over. Some of his disposals too were poor, but on the whole, not a bad day and hopefully he gets some confidence up. Wheater's was tops, best game I've seen him play. Can't believe he didn't poll any votes in the age with his 30 poss and two beaut goals.
  23. * -Is everybody over this season? yes, was over it several weeks back. * Do people actually want us to lose to get the best draft picks possible? No don't want to lose, but yes i want the best draft picks. Think there's other games we're more likely to lose than this one. * -Will you be upset if we lose? After the emotional battering last week, I am now void of any sort of emotion. * -Are you going? Yes, looking forward to seeing the youngins and this new coach have a crack. * -Crowd? Don't care, Carlton home game and am crap at predictions anyways.
  24. You've picked a good year to be os. I only know of AFL and sportal type services where they give details of what happens, but you're reading it and can't actually see anything.
