I donโ€™t understand how Carlton is favourite against North

ย

So a 6:30pm local time start for the Brisbane match.

It would be great to see 7:10pm starts in Melbourne. Interesting that they no longer publish the post halftime drop in ratings.

Almost seems that 6-8 teams have already assumed the leadership section but perhaps there are still some twists to come.

Some good games this round.

Hope Brisbane get the job done tonight.

West coast v Sydney will be intriguing.

But all eyes will be on tomorrow carlton v nth.

Genuine 186 chance on Sunday night

Is it true the Blues have parted with Voss this morning..?

That was yesterday morning and it was an April Foolโ€™s joke.

Was thinking the same, maybe Xerri rubbing himself out made the odds swing.

Glass of nice red wine from the hunter. Ready to watch. If the Filth look like playing well I willl turn it off. And watch 9 instead

Tonight should be interesting. Pies have beaten the lions up there a few times over the last few years. As much as I hate them with every fibre of my beingโ€ฆ I do like watching the pies play. Their intensity at pressuring oppositions to me is the template for trying to stop the current trend of chain goals, which will be fun to watch against a lions team that loves to spread.

Had it been Souva or Wardlaw or any number of others, but Xerri?

The lions have been dominant over the last two years. I think they finished the pre season last week.

Just hope that Zorko runs through the scum bag

Loman picks up a free after ducking/shrugging into the tackle. Goal! The umpires not umpiring to this seasonโ€™s much publicised rule interpretation.

Pies without N Daicos look very different. A lot less dynamic around the ball.

No Pendles either so they look one dimensional.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFLโ€™s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.ย

The Demons put four quarters of hard contested, fast running and high pressure football to knock off the ladder leaders and early premiership contenders the Gold Suns by 20 points at the MCG on Easter Sunday.

  • PODCAST: Gold Coast

Iโ€™ll be away for the next few weeks, so Binman will be holding the fort for our podcasts covering the Suns, Bombers and Lions matches. As a result, there will be no live podcasts during this period, and we wonโ€™t be taking calls or voicemails. Binman will still be dipping into this thread to select a few questions to answer, while also combining the long-form Stats Files podcast with the Demonland Podcast for these shows. Your questions and comments are a huge part of what makes the podcast work, so please post anything youโ€™d like to ask or say below and weโ€™ll do our best to give you a shout-out on the show. Please try to keep each post focused on one specific topic or player to make podcast preparation a little easier. If you have multiple topics youโ€™d like to raise, please put them in separate posts.
