And well done fitness staff. we were able to run the game out against a team with a game under their belt

Wait till we start loading.

[censored] you Andrew Maher, [censored] you Josh Jenkins and [censored] all these other [censored] who were adamant, following the noise like sheep and declared we were certain bottom 4.

Also, 1.8 million dollars and 2 million dollars men are 0-2. St Kilda are truly a sh*t club. Even when they spend they still fail. GWS and Brisbane. Finish them!

We still have a capable list and what a statement win!

Not trying to be negative but I think we've done well parting ways with several players.

I think that’s being positive.

Loving the win, but not sure I can take a full season of these games. Error-riddled brilliance.

The Saints had so much more of the ball, and lots of open flow in transition, but somehow we managed to continue to play our game and got the 4 points. So much to like.

Hitting moving targets in F50 was so, so refreshing. Our new boys - Steele, Jiath, Checkers. Sharp 's amazing improvement. Max, Culley, Latrelle.

Our defensive effort and structure through the middle of the ground was appalling. The Saints had so much free ball through the middle which they simply wasted.

And so many missed opportunities in the last quarter.

Fritsch, Sparrow, Howes, Langford had poor games.

How good was that?

It certainly is a Grand Old Flag tonight! ❤️💙

Be honest. Who else had their MFCSS flare up in the last an were convinced it was happening again?

Great first win and takes some pressure off the boys.

Still lots of mistakes both skill and decision from our younger players that will improve over time. Often not aware of what is around them and getting caught.

Best game I have seen from sharp after half time, he always had the tank and speed when we got him. Never seemed to get a fair run at it.

Looking for more from Langford (yes he's young) next week, as it was the quietest game from him ever. Just never seemed to get into the game.

Good confidence builder and looking forward to seeing them live next Saturday night!

Gee we are fun to watch. That was electric and breathtaking. It felt like a massive breath of fresh air.

Lots of positives to take from today youngsters stood firm.

Lever fought back from having a shocker will allow some lenience for 1st game.

Max WOW!

Just build the statue now.

ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Career best 6 goal performance, must get votes!

Made mistakes but kept on going, encouraging signs going forward, plenty to work on.

He really stepped up in the last quarter. Some great moments.

What I loved about that win was the fact that it was a team win. Max was absolutely supreme and JVR was massive but apart from that collectively everyone contributed when they needed.

Most enjoyable game of footy I have watched for 4 years!

All hail the King!

Some interesting team stats I was just looking at.

It looks like the Saints had more of everything, except 2 crucial stats – we had more bounces, and more tackles.

Either we are being very efficient, or they are squandering the ball.

WHAT A GAME!!

So much fun to watch. King has done an amazing job in the off season to completely redesign the team and game plan

Culley is the real deal.

They absolutely squandered it

Gawn had only 12 minutes rest all game apparently. Against a bloke a decade younger

Legend is not high enough praise

The most positive thing for me is that we appear to have unlearned the old game plan already

no pointless bombing the ball today

some mid forward connection

Long may this continue

Great win, effort there all day but FFS

Some of you should be embarrassed with your comments on the game day thread, I’ll give you a tip Rd 1 next year we’ll also be a little rusty.

Max take a bow

Keep it to yourself. Let people support how they want and just enjoy the win.

A lot of the better teams these days win without dominating stats. run and gun style you don’t need them
