Latrelle is such a smooth mover.

Concussion.

No he’s been concussed

Moose is very handy in the centre and has been impressive. It is comical that the Saints let Steele go for bugger all. He will be a star for us.

Agreed. Hopefully just nerves/pressure. If he can sort that out he will be just as lethal as K.Pickett

That will come once he learns he has time to spare

Chandler and Windsor to the wings. Howes from wing to back.

Rivers from back to on ball.

Langford from mostly wing to on ball.

Salem came on for CJ.

Apart from the big boys, a lot of players moving around getting a run making it difficult to see who is playing well for extended minutes.

Salem - immediate impact. Steady, Initiating many transitions

I am LOVING the big moose. If we got him AND Steele from St Kilda for basically nothing then it is a great move.

Kentfield has surprised me - looking good.

Latrelle moves well, and is beginning to adjust to the pace and intensity of AFL. His kicking is under par so far.

Laurie hasn't had a lot of it but he is very good with ball in hand.

Heath and Kentfield are two big angry bastards.

Kentfield should surely get a game this year, you'd think..

X Lindsay playing a great game

Does all the little things well. Doesn't get flustered.

Langford might end up the more dynamic player and more of a 'match winner', but players like Lindsay are worth their weight in gold.

Instead of Roo

Kolt takes a nice one on one mark and unloads from 50!

Loving Moose. Unlike Gawn, understands kicking limitation and is happy to handball off to a distributor

Just got home for the start of the final term.

Nice goal koltyn. That's what we want to see.

How's latrell looking?

thats a great kick for goal from kolt. hoofed it from about 60 meters

I know it's not a fair dinkum game but there must be alarm bells for Norf

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.

  • POSTGAME: St. Kilda

Never in doubt!!! In Steven King’s first game at the helm of the Melbourne Football Club, the Dees outlasted Saints in a wild, momentum-swinging thriller at the MCG, running out 13-point winners.
