Hoo dat?

Not saying this is why we picked him, but he’s best mates with Bailey Humphrey

This one is totally bizarre. We took Pickett at 12, filled the small forward need. Philapou there at 30 and we went with a 171cm bloke who was injured all season

Just heard that !!! 😂

He's write ups saying he is aggressive with Greta gaol sense and a huge vertical leap.

Did a PCL at the start of year unfortunately..

Was captain of Gippsland power

Mate, 33 picks have gone by and no philipou there must be reason for this right?

He's a livewire. Zippy, tough, strong footy IQ and will be an absolute menace up forward. Gippsland captain, drifted out due to PCL injury. If he had played all year, he would have been top 15 pick potentially. Keep an eye on this one, think Papley.

Watch this space. Good outcome Dees fans.

Who is Greta Gaol and why is he so aggressive with her?

This is a good pick. Apparently ticks a lot of boxes for recruiters with his attitude, physical prowess and playing style.

Get the gameplan working with quick ball movement and precise entries inside 50 and players like this kid become super important. Same goes for LSP.

...and, steadily, one for which Casey Fields ain't so foreign!

Gippy RULES!

I was speaking with Rhett earlier this year, he said he was a potential top 5 pick. Amazing for a small forward.

Apart from anything else, it shows how much more homework clubs and recruiting teams do on draftees than random or not-so-random track watchers.

They met at a BBQ, apparently.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
