AFLW: SF vs Adelaide

Oh get [censored] ump

AFL clearly want 2 Vic v interstate prelims

Weak effort, very disappointing

Umpiring is making AFLW unwatchable.

The 50 against Gillard... really?

The reversal against Paxman ... really?

Thanks to the Demon Army for the great banner and their dedication

It’s just really sad how a game can be so influenced by a call or a non call by an umpire. 4 goals direct from a free kicks is something else.

I feel for the girls!

Umpires swung the game that quarter with 2 goals from nothing!

at least the fox commentators stuck it to the umps at half time

This team has plenty of heart and ticker. We’re not out of it. Hopefully the umps try to even up on the howlers and favour us this half

Come on girls. Give it your all

That’s two finals in a row where Umpires have absolutely, incorrectly, gifted our opponents multiple goals to turn the game.

Even commentators agree.

What the f is going on.

Pearce belted in the head, not the bruise one and totally ignored.

Macca having a shocker

Gets plenty of it but it’s all fumbles and shank kicks.

She need to learn to handball more to runners

Great goal

Hope Zanker stays, Bannan has been next to useless the last few weeks and Harris has had to plug holes elsewhere and Gall is still learning so not much of a forward line re talls.

...and we're beating the umpires.

Great fight back from the girls

But seriously - have the Crows had a single holding the ball paid against them?

both sides

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

  • REPORT: Richmond

Mars is not usually a place known for lighting strikes but on Friday evening it happened twice in the vicinity of the stadium in Ballarat that carries the name and is a half completed building site with limited capacity for spectators.
