feel like this is appropriate at this time, particularly looking at the ranking of the players without the club tied talent, it sort of puts it in perspective, leray at 33 is rated as the 23rd open pick, so pascoes placement of greeves at 50 is basically 35th

Reading the Play has us getting Grlj and Dovaston in their final Phantom Draft with picks #11 and #12.

I would be stoked with that combination.

I would be stoked with that combination.

Pick #11: Melbourne – Sam Grlj

Grlj has massive fans at Tigerland, so the Demons will be thrilled to snap him up here. He brings elite burst, toughness and power running — attributes that instantly inject energy into Melbourne’s transition game. While his disposal still has room to sharpen, the raw weapons are all there.
Other options: Melbourne are fans of Sam Cumming and Jacob Farrow, both of whom could be considered here.

Pick #12: Melbourne – Lachie Dovaston

An energiser and a genuine threat forward of centre, Dovaston could come off the board even earlier. With ground-level efficiency and explosive speed inside 50, he adds another dynamic layer to the Demons’ evolving forward mix.
Other options: Jevan Phillipou and Aidan Schubert are forward-half options Melbourne will also weigh up.

Pick #33: Melbourne – Cameron Nairn

The word is out that the Dees love Nairn, so much so that it has been floated that they’d be willing to take him with one of their first round selections. While that is too early, it’s easy to see why Melbourne would be into Nairn — he’s got good size, good skills, smart movement and a heap of upside.
Other Options: The only way the Dees don’t take Nairn is if he is off the board. In that case, they’d look at the likes of Greeves, Dalton, McCarthy and Wright. The Dees also like Suns academy prospect Beau Addinsall — he’s a live chance at this pick.

I'm guessing it's not ideally set up for mobile. All I can do is potential trades in a fairly difficult to navigate way.

They have us trading into a third first round pick which I doubt will happen although it was something I advocated for last year (and might have gotten us a Murphy Reid) but that’s water under the bridge.

This year our drafters were somewhat negative about the draft’s strength so I would be surprised if they wanted a third pick in the first round.

Sam Grlj is going to be one of the best players from this draft. Bookmark it.

If he slides to us, we have absolutely won.

Alright, but your reputation is on the line..

I actually just got onto Pommy in oz's youtube channel Turner. Actually pretty darn good! One of the better resources on YT outside of Gettable for draft reports etc.
