Extroadinarily poor negotiation tactic discussing fall back options with a club that is wanting you to blink first.

The only way we were ever any chance to get Humphrey is if the Suns believes a. We wouldn't accept any other deal and B. they wanted Trac more than him.

Sadly i don't think either of those things are true

Yes!! As are most of their covers. I love Eleanor.

All of it.

Johnnys Bat Mitzvah is just hilarious.

I’m a massive Joey Cape fan though - Lagwagon again at Miami Marketta in Feb. I said to my wife: in the mosh pit for lagwagon at age 47. Winning.

Not even close to the Dees position. The guy is now searching and making stuff up. The conversations have not been that forthcoming between both parties. To say the dees want those picks is just a blatant lie

Maffra is not standard, or a FIFO town. It is a town you go to for a reason only.

FWIW, do not go there if you have no reason ppls. Trust me.

John Gallus came from Maffra, ripping bloke!

This is all just guess work. Glad we’re not negotiating through the media - we’ve been very straight-bat and given them nothing

Like I said, the conversations haven't been that level just yet. Dees want a player or a deal that is reflective of what GC are wanting to acquire. Dees have not spoken in depth about picks because they are adamant it includes specific player(s). DEES have been transparent on what a satisfactory deal would look like

I’m sure he is PF. But the point is, it’s not standard to travel to Maffra for recruiters, clubs or Managers to travel there on a whim to get an AFL player..

Would you know by any chance If there is a world where we take back Trac or is it now completely untenable?

If the answer is no, and GC know it, then we don’t have a leg to stand on. They have us where they want us at the table.

I dont see any other players other then Humphrey that would suit our needs or equivalent to a satisfactory level.

In addition to the specific player we're talking about here?

I’d pivot for Jed Walter

King came out when first onboard and said he would. It's essentially a new club and most of the guys there had nothing to do with trac so it would effectively be a clean slate.

If we trade the brand for a few picks in a weak draft, I will probably do nothing because I’m a pretty calm and tame person, but I will be disapproving of it.

Jed Walter would be okay

Just need to convince him that a long term deal and not being stuck behind jamara, king and read is worth it

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
