At around the 6 minute mark he said we made a deliberate decision to go hard last year by trading a F1, because we know how compromised this draft is and he didn’t sound fussed about not having a first round pick in this year’s draft

Considering that it’s been years since we traded away a F1 and then didn’t aggressively look to get back into the first round, we can very clearly see that we don’t rate this draft nor are we prioritizing getting back into the first round

We have one of the best recruiters in the league. If he thought he could get stars at 7 and 8, I think this deal would already have been done and dusted

We very clearly want a player and we are going very very hard at that player

Will we relent if we don’t get him? Maybe but it’s absolutely not what we want and there is also definitely still a world where we say to Trac sorry we tired but better luck next year

Don't know if it's already been stated, but if Bailey wants to go down that Country Road to Moe, training at Casey is about the closest you'll get in the AFL.

If it’s just picks coming back out way, I see no need to give them one back.

maybe we throw one back their way if they include BH.

They are not giving up both 7 and 8. They need at least one arguably both to match bids for their two academy players which will go in the top4. That is closes to 4000 points worth of picks. 7 and 8 only gets them 75%.

I’m shocked that nobody else in the media is talking about the fact that GCS needs both of these picks and we are not giving Trac away for 15 and 18.

Humphrey is the key to unlock this deal frankly I’ll be shocked if it’s 7 and 8.

I’d still take it and do a pick swap with our 2nd rounders and go after Butters.

Lamb stated he was happy with the McVee trade as pick 23 should land us a very good player

He has acknowledged the compromised nature of this years draft, and used it to justify the decision to trade our first pick away (no issues with that), but no where did he say we have no interest in this draft

Unfortunately people are hearing what they want to hear

I’m with you adonski. Even in today’s interview he wouldn’t rule out trading into this draft with our future picks.

I reckon in that scenario Essendon or Richmond would want to push one of their top 5 picks into next year, or else we won't take the risk

For clarification, what is the difference between curnow being traded and Trac being traded?

Both in contract

Both have somewhat selected their preferred destinations

Both want out

????

Just watch the media try and tlk up Geelongs 3 first rounders for Curnow being a top deal because it’s a Geelong.

This is so true

Picks 7 and 8 are really a strong draft hand from a points perspective

And I have no idea how the Suns would make up those points for their bids if they traded both to us

I honestly think trading Humphrey to us is their best bet - they get a big name player to elevate their list while not sacrificing their ability to bring in their highly rated academy players

They could even try and trade 7 or 8 to another club who is willing to overpay for one of the selections

Maybe I’ve got my red and blue goggles on but this honestly seems like a win win if Suns can put their ego aside and be willing to part with Humphrey

Imagine if the Suns pulled out of the race because they couldn't afford him like the Saints did with Alir haha

There is no where in this video does he say "we have no interest in the draft"..

If anything he sounded like we're still open minded to stock piling on young talent if need even though we have hit the draft hard the last few years. As he said, it will also depend on the balance of adding mature age players as well.

"The overall philosophy will be to try and improve our list ... We'll look at every avenue we can, whether that be free agency, trade and then obviously that flows into the draft."

Clearly the plan was to try and get experience but I have no doubt that with picks 7 and 8 they would be okay with that knowing they're still got early access to two elite talent.

Taylor is great at this draft range so I'm happy for him to have another year with bringing in quality once again.

No wonder we are going backwards, we’re failing our own philosophies.

Some posters aren't keen on picks 7 and 8 in a shallow draft.

They'll be the same posters having a fit if 23 goes back the other way.

Nope they won't all be. I'll give Petracca and 23 for Humphrey if necessary.

people saying 7 and 8 arent good have no clue i reckon..

this draft isnt as strong as others but 2 of the top 15 players in this draft would walk into our best 23 everyday of the week

I'd do that too, but I'm not sure how that changes the merits of my post.

I'm not keen on 7 and 8, and I'm fine to trade 23 if it helps land Humphrey.

Well Neil when Gen Zs are courting each other, to use our generations vernacular, this is their love language. Just go with the flow. Rizz, 6 7 Skibidi Toilet.

for all the other boomers here .........

AI Overview

"Just go with the flow. Rizz, 6 7 Skibidi Toilet" is a combination of internet slang and references to the popular, albeit controversial, animated web series Skibidi Toilet. "Rizz" means charisma or skill in flirting, while "Skibidi Toilet" refers to the series about toilets with human heads. The number "6-7" is also a recent, nonsensical piece of internet slang.

Breakdown of the Terms

  • Just go with the flow:

A common idiom meaning to relax and adapt to a situation.

  • Rizz:

Short for "charisma," meaning charm or skill in flirting or attracting someone.

  • 6-7:

A recent, nonsensical addition to internet slang that carries no inherent meaning but has become a popular meme phrase among younger internet users.

  • Skibidi Toilet:

A popular, ongoing animated web series by DaFuq!?Boom! featuring animated toilets with human heads singing the song "Skibidi Dop Dop Yes Yes".

Context

These terms are frequently used by Generation Alpha (born 2012 or later). The phrase "Skibidi toilet rizz" is considered part of this demographic's lingo, and parents and guardians often express confusion about the terms' meanings and origins.

In Summary

When someone says "Just go with the flow. Rizz, 6 7 Skibidi Toilet," they are likely combining a common phrase with a collection of nonsensical internet slang, including the latest viral term "Skibidi toilet rizz," to create a humorous or playful, though confusing, statement.

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
