Yes he did a secret medical in his Suns gear in front of 200+ ppl and you heard it here first. 😂

He needs someone to dress him… he put his shirt on backwards!!

If I had a source in the club, I'd ring them up and ask questions like no tomorrow haha. Wouldn't be able to help myself. I need to get a job at Melbourne so I can be The Guy. 😏

Don’t worry am currently planning out that career path as we speak. Although I will have to be careful that I won’t be Mole 2.0

Don't get too excited.

Look at the Wikipedia page for Casey Fields and the background is one of the first images listed.

I don’t think anyone is getting excited by a guy wearing a flipped suns kit, sunshine beaming on his body whilst completely overcast.. 😂😂

Ghosty is this you wanting to continue the thread? 😂

You’re forgiven for thinking that way. I want this thread to go on forever. It’s the best thread we’ve had in ages. Probs the best since Deever’s I Like Big Butts and I Cannot Lie thread. But that has nothing to do with what I’ve been told. It’s simply serendipity.

Well I thought if there is anything to this Humphrey story he would nominate the Dees or at least request a trade today, no reason not to, but … crickets. Think the WOW deal may be lacking WOW.

Of course the counterpoint to my own argument is - if Bailey is off the table and only picks are involved why hasn’t the deal been closed already. (maybe waiting on Clarry pick to give back?)

So IF he had a medical today (let's assume that's real). THEN.. he passes and nominates us tomorrow in a trade request. Then on Wednesday, they get it done? Cool cool 😂🙈😬

Hey Macca, vampires don’t run, they float!

This would be right up there as one of the most entertaining topics during any given trade period here on ‘land.

And 4 people are following this thread…their phones be dingin’ like crazy.

Hearing it wasn’t a medical at Casey… he was being treated by a doctor for a snake bite 🐍

True as I already reported!😇

Why Tom Morris bite him?

This BBQ will go down in history.

Firstly, the anticipation on Sunday morning of when Demon Forever will post.

Secondly, the magnificent effort of DF to update us while he’s taking a dump.

And it’s made me chuckle reading the to and fro throughout.

Bravo 👏 🏆

If we end this trade period on Wednesday having just signed Bailey Humphrey, it's a deal 🤝🏻

You’re a sweetheart but I’m still stinging from the Judd saga and the perfume gods would frown upon me for pimping out CKE for a second time 🙃

Prove nothing? I think after what he has done in the past 2 seasons. He has a lot to prove. A LOT.

Nah.

Tracc was flying before Moore pole-axed him.

And all things considered he had a pretty good 2025 season.

I just hate to think that the MFC are prepared to just take picks 7 & 8 for a player of Petracca's ability. Surely someone with modicum of common sense will see that we are getting shafted by GCS.

Do not accept this offer or be bullied into topping up their academy picks.

A lot is riding on the outcome of this and we must be seen as strong.

As I post every off season I don't mind skimming all the trade and draft speculation, and think it's great the thought many put into all the variables.

I particularly like reading Informed views about possible draft options

But personally I don't really care, particularly about the trading palaver. And I don't really have an informed view about value of trades etc

However I'm curious the consensus seems to be picks 7 and 8 is a bad deal.

I get that the context is its Humphrey or picks 7 or 8 and everyone is super keen on Humphrey so perhaps 7 and 8 seems bad in comparison.

But to be honest, assuming the Suns pay all of his salary, picks 7 and 8 for tracc ain't that bad.

Don't get me wrong, I firmly believe he is still a gun. But the reality is he is 30 next year, his kicking, which has never been elite, got worse last season and if I was brutally honest I'd say post injury he's still, 100% understandably, a little cautious in the heat of the battle.

Added together he's a ways off his AA best.

He may well get back to that level - and I sincerely hope he does whether that's at the dees or another club.

But as a punter I'd give no better than even money he will get back to his AA best.

In that context picks 7 and 8 is ok I reckon.

And if we take those picks to the draft (Ie as opposed to on trading for a player) that's pretty exciting.

The problem is this draft is meant to be a stinker. If it was 7 & 8 last year you'd take it and run but this year? Consensus seems to be it will be extremely difficult to hit on a winner past pick 2 or 3.

On a side note this doesn't fill me with much confidence about White either who isn't projected to go in the top 40-50 or so.

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
