    I don't agree with the 3-2-1 system. Often the best 3 players have played similar standard games, yet the 3 voter (usually the 'big name') gets the 3 votes.

    I think the votes should be weighted, e.g. 6-5-4, so that there isn't such a discrepancy/unfair weighting between the 3 vote getters.

    We’ve been used to the umpires votes being a little bit weird – and that was back when they actually knew what they were doing!

    Now that they have NFI?

    Mind you, they might have actually got it right this year 🤔

    If one game summed up the absurdity of the Brownlow Medal it was this. If one game alone can finally instigate a change to this award, it should be this.

    How bizzare, a child with a Dan Murphy’s logo on what looks like “official” AFL children’s merchandise. Would never get away with that these days.

    This is just another example of why the AFL needs someone running it who is not from the old boys network. So we are going to give a medal to the player who runs second! Largely in my view because Daicos has run second twice. God deliver us!

    That makes way more sense dc. If the player who ran second was not Daicos would there even be a discussion.
